Every city and major town has a general store/trader. As I said, the easiest way to sell stuff is to just wait 24 hours.

To me the stormcloaks are a bunch of racist people who are a blemish to the land is Skyrim. And ulfric stormcloak has a huge ego. :| On the other hand I didn't like the legion's way of trying to behead me just because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, And their banning of the worship of Talos.

In the end I went with the Imperials. Neither side is perfect so it's your choice really.

Started this yesterday, I hate how 'tab' replaced 'esc'. It felt less uneasy in fallout cause it opened the Pipboy, maybe cause of the animation or something. I've looked up for cheats and have already decided to cheat for moment speed and first 10 levels.

I think ama go with the stormclocks. Its a freedom struggle going on.

But still anyone know which side is better ? I.e. better quests / varied stuff to do etc.

Where is the fun in cheating? You are going to ruin a perfectly good game for yourself.

the new nvidia beta driver is a gem :) It pretty much solved all my performance issues in 3D. Time to sit down and really play this thing. Looks insane in 3D too :)

Also, to everyone having sound issues (especially low sound), did you try updating the audio driver? The game has a problem with Realtek drivers. Updating the drivers fixed the volume issue for me.

Unfortunately, I no longer use the onboard audio. I got a Creative card and the it gives me much better sound. I have the latest Creative drivers, but the sound is still low. I have to crank up the volume to more than 50% to get acceptable sound levels.

Slept at 3:30 AM today! I really really need to keep a tab on the clock. :(

The playthrough by far has been slow and steady with focus on the side quests which are a lot more interesting and time consuming than the primary objectives. Also happened to explore some new territories yesterday and slayed a couple of blood dragons. Dragons have become pu$$ies now, in comparison to other foes in Skyrim! Met the Greybeards yesterday at High Hrothgar and got trained in some new shouts. On my way back from High Hrothgar, there was this frost troll who almost owned me but one shout, it flew away somewhere and never saw it anywhere lol. And this takes the count of the number of primary objectives completed by far to 5. i.e. 23+ hours spent and 5 primary objectives completed! :P

There is this quest titled 'Forbidden legend' wherein we are tasked with collecting Gauldur's Amulet fragments from 3 different locations. The first one was pretty simple and straightforward. The second one had a weird puzzle - 4 pillars having the eagle, whale and snake symbols that need to be turned to activate a door. That is 4P3 = 24 combinations?! I was zonked and read the journal that started off this quest and couldn't get any clues to the solution. Spent some time and was forced to use the walkthrough which revealed the solution but did not mention where this appeared. Are we supposed to work out these 24 combinations and find out the solution ourselves? Anyone else who made it through this one?

Completed the Companions' main quests and pursuing some pointless side quests for them now. Just curious but if I was to simply rush through the main quests, how long would it take? I know there isn't any fun in doing that but thought of asking. :P

Weekend is here woot!

^The puzzles in Skyrim are totally idiotic and take away from the overall experience. I just use a walkthrough whenever I encounter a puzzle as not doing so would be a pointless waste of time. Most of the time, the solution to the puzzels is somewhere around the puzzle area. Like for example, Ivory Claw quest, the solution is on the ivory claw itself, revealed on a closer inspection of the claw. I did complete Forbidden legends and iirc I too used a walkthrough for the puzzles. Collecting the last fragment in this quest is a b1tch. I advise you to not take your companion with you to retrieve the last fragment as most of the times he/she will end up dead.

^Alright will keep that in mind. I am assuming I an going to face some badass daedra or mage towards the end of that quest?

I can guarantee you that there is absolutely no way you can resist good RPGs. Time flies and before you know it, you're screwed :P I remember the day I got DA 2, promised myself that I was just gonna see how it starts (at 9 PM) and ended up sleeping at 5 AM :|

I've said this already - those who manage to achieve self control while playing RPGs should be given an award :P

As for the quest, I've come across quite a few of these pillars - lot at random places and from what I've seen, there are always clues. Not sure which place you're referring to. Which place on the map is it? Or is this the first time you've come across these pillars (quite unlikely though :P)?

Totally true - RPG titles are way too addictive. Random sh1t to do which keeps us occupied in someway or the other and it doesn't get monotonous. I recall I saw it was 12:30 AM on my cellphone and decided to spend a bit more before I crash. Got carried away and saw it was 3:30 already! :ashamed:

Unlikely alright! :P I have come across those puzzles before. Like those 3 wheels to be spun on the door to open it using the claw. But this had 4 pillars with 3 symbols and I kept searching for clues but found none. One Google search and a straight link to Skyrim UESP led me to the solution. And revealed some spoilers as well. :@
