Lincoln leads with 12 nominations closely followed by Life of Pi with 11. Argo has 7 and Tarantino's Django Unchained has 5! TDKR wasn't nominated for any of the categories, the first since Nolan's Insomnia. Looks like DDL might just grab his next Oscar! :scared14:

Damn it, now my post looks stupid :P

Assalam O Alaikum! This movie is on the third number in my favorite movie list after Sholay and Lagaan. After watching this movie one can say that the director has done a lot of research on the life of the legend Abraham Lincoln because each scene and every aspect of the film reveal the hard work of the director and his research team (writer Tony Kushner) who has done a great job. Steven Spielberg has given his 100 percent in making this Masterpiece and will be remembered till the American Film Industry exists. Everything was too perfect costume, sets, cinematography, music and performances. Daniel Day-Lewis performance for this role will be rated number one in his acting career. Right from his first movie (Sunday Bloody Sunday) he has proved that he is a good actor and brilliant performer but American audiences, critics and directors came to know after so many years. This movie deserved 5 out of 5. Allah Hafiz

Haven't watched most of 'em.
Gotta finish lists "Best Picture", "Best Animated Feature", "Best Foreign Language Film" soon. :)

Wanted to watch Lincoln in the theaters but only the DVD screener is out and looks bad. Ditto for Django Unchained. I wonder when the release in India is.

Watched Django Unchained... apparently there is a 2.5GB print which is like a dvdrip with AC3 sound....awesome awesome print and awesome awesome movie

@6pack
Django was rated at 8.8 in IMDB last i checked (5 days ago)... Some of the movies are really great

WTF... tdkr didn't make it anywhere? Cloud Atlas didn't make it for costume design and editing? Meanwhile, average Argo and Lincoln made it everywhere? Only movies I'm really happy to see here are Life of Pi and Avengers for special effects.

This is one sad Oscars nomination list. Or maybe its just me :/

argo,life of pi when brrip is out

Ditto! The only movie,I would be remotely interested in would be Django Unchained.

Really? You haven't watched The Avengers? And Prometheus?

Just came back from The Avengers and had a blast. Hulk and Stark stole the show. Johansson kicked ass too. The build up was pretty good and the battle towards the end was very well directed. I love how the humour was packed in this movie. It came at the most unusual moments and the whole theater would burst out laughing.
