To begin with I was responding to sharktale1212's comment where he indicated (correctly) that the JP movement created leaders which turned out to be corrupt later.

My point was, that I do NOT expect AAP to be the utopian solution, and to produce saintly leaders without flaws. All I expect and believe is possible is that it would change the existing political equillibrium to something better.

The JP movement might have failed apparently, but it had decisively shifted the equillibrium from where it was before it happened. Congress never was as powerful as it used to be before the JP movement, and the Indian national poitics never remained a monopoly.

Going forward, in the worst case scenario, both the BJP and Congress would take popular movements and civil society efforts for reforms more seriously for sure. They both collectively caused the birth of AAP by repeatedly being balatant in their complicitness in opposing reformist legislations like Lokpal, applicability of RTI on parties, Criminalisation, transparency etc. They very recently tried to even overturn the SC ruling on convicts contesting elections and staying on in the assemblies.

Further, AAP's presence would strongly pressure both BJP and Congress into avoiding criminals. I was reading the news yesterday about BJP and Congress in Punjab trying to avoid giving tickets to tainted candidates.

Many such positives might emerge, even if AAP failis and crashes in another couple of years.

I hope you agree on that.

Ok, I seem to have misread that. Yep if you put it that way I agree.

And it again goes back to bash the BJP/Congress - oh what did BJP/Congress do thread.

I don't know where to vent out so taking this opportunity to share what my mind says about AAP.

Would AAP turned up in numbers in front of BJP head office had Mr. Kejriwal not resigned. Is it wise to blindly blame everyone just on the hunch starting from Sheila Dixit and ending on Adani... with more to follow. Mr. Kejriwal came up with a 370 page documents against Mrs. Dixit has claimed that he has documents against Mr. Modi too and has never shown them in public. He did a survey of whole of Gujrat in under six hours and claimed that all the claims are invalid. I remember when he ordered FIR against Mr. Amabani and others, then a repeater asked weather he has shared the same info with LG as he was an ex employee of reliance, Kejiriwal then said that he didn't knew LG was former Reliance employee. By the next day he was blaming LG Najib Jung to be in hands with Reliance and Congress. I too have questions against Mr. Modi for not speaking about various issues in public but at least I find him sane to not to speak about Mr. Kejriwal cause there is an old saying in Hindi "Naang bade permeshwar se".

I am supporting BJP... Not because of Gujrat or Modi... But because of BJP and its faces. I believe in people like Jaitely and Sushma Swaraj. They speak sense unlike Rahul Gandhi or Kapil Sibbal and certainly not Mr. Kejriwal who has noting but vemon against other politicians. 99% of the time he will speak ill about others rather then what his plans are for development of the Indian economy.

^read about yeddi, reddy brothers, shri ramulu and Sushma Swaraj. BJP did a record breaking corruption in 5 years which is a lot higher than 20 years of congress combined in K'taka. Sushma Swaraj was/is is political Amma of Reddy brothers.

What AK did or doing is completely wrong and idiotic. Claiming Gujarat was not developed with 6 hours of survey was stupid. When I saw his video clip in TV, saying 'Modi has no time for Aam Admi' etc etc doesnt make any sense. Why Modi has to meet him at all? It's his wish whether he wants to meet or not. And then that fiasco with Election Commision and breaking code of conduct. AK was like 'arrest me arrest me arrest me'. I felt he was harassing the police lol
