Just finished Hyperion which was simply excellent. Gotta start on the sequel asap.
That series is on my to read list, I have to finish night dawn trilogy first though, but somehow my pace with books has reduced tremendously now and I might not get through night dawn + Malazan book of fallen this year :P

 reviews? She is the man (or woman) when it comes to mystery stories. IMO, about 25-30% mystery plots today are derived from her stories.

LOL. okay, that came out li'l wrong. I wanted to say those two have the best reviews/ratings among her 80+ works.

Btw, read Not A Penny More Not A Penny Less - Jeffrey Archer - didn't liked much though. I liked Kane and Abel over this. (7/10)
Also finished 'And then There were None - Agatha Christie' - well I didn't saw that coming...the climax. (9/10)

Reading - And the Mountains Echoed - Khaled Hosseini - may be not like Thousands Splendid Suns, but still I am loving this one. (may be I had low expectations reading some reviews :P). Reading final chapter now. A very well written book indeed. (8/10)

Queued:
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd - Agatha Christie
Best Kept Secret (The Clifton Chronicles, #3) - Archer
Makaam - an Assamese Novel by Rita Choudhury
GOT #1

Finished "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" by Agatha Christie
About to finish - "Best Kept Secret" (The Clifton Chronicles, #3) - Archer

Anyone got any recommendation in Scifi genre?
I have never read any.

Finished clifton chronicles, atleast the three which are released.. And the confession by John Grisham, also the racketeer by John Grisham..

Seeing amazing discount in Amazon.in (~66%) in many books. (link)
Few Lee Child's book are available for ~120 bucks. (Jack Reacher series)

Any recommendation from Lee Child's? Or by John Grisham?

Are The Grisham books recommended? Racketeer is available for Rs118, And many other for 85-120 range. I haven't read any of his books. (How do you rate the books on scale of 10?)

Well, is it absolute necessary to start from the #1? Actually 17+ books is a big commitment for me and now I am seeing only 'One Shot' and 'A wanted man' in the discounted price. I was asking, ain't it like Sherlock Holmes (or Poirot series), where there isn't much continuation of the story (but of course the basic stuffs)? or is it like ASOIAF series?

TIA.

Reading "The Case of the Man Who Died Laughing" by Tarquin Hall

Its about an Indian detective , Vish Puri, investigating a supernatural event . Quite intriguing . Light and fun style of writing, nice description of India as well and I haven't even reached midway.

The books are basically situations that arise during the course of his life (after his military police career ends) along with a couple of flashbacks ( back to mp days). He is a drifter who hitchhikes his way across the states and ends up in a jam everywhere :). There aren't much that connects the books except some characters that appear in multiple books.

The movie is actually based on one shot. It isn't necessary to start from the beginning. Read one of those two. If you like one of them, you should like them all.

don't want to go off topic here, but want to star reading "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.
some flipkart reviews have issue with edition they got and binding quality.
Should i order it from them?
waited for a long time for funds, now want to order it ASAP.
