@vikram ravi - GreenPois0n is a Jailbreak tool, therefore you can only jailbreak you iPhone 4 with it. There is still no unlock available for iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.1
 
hi guys i have unlocked iphone 3g 4.1 with airtel sim, i am planning to shift to reliance 3g, shifting only for 3G is it advisable, i am from Mumbai, anybody tried reliance 3G on Iphone in Mumbai, how is the speed, service, etc. Pls Reply.

Speeds are excellent, coverage is decent. If you can afford it, I would say go for it. You will get the fastest 3G experience in India, AFAIK! As far as service provided by Reliance is concerned, lesser said the better :p

i have already applied for portability, immediately airtel guys called me up pleading not to leave, he promised me u will receive airtel 3g by the end of the month, i do not buy it, plus i have heard they are costlier than reliance, i told them sorry but i need latest technology right now i cant wait, i have already waited for 1 and half years with iphone 3g with me but with pathetic gprs speeds, it was insulting for this great piece of hardware....

i have heard the 3g speed varies from handset to handset, how much is the maximum on iphone 3G, anybody can throw some light on this

By the way i have learned a lot reading these forums for a last couple of days, thank u all the helpful people who take time out to reply to our queries. thank you very much

Should i go ahead with this JB ? Ofcourse, will have to wait for the unlock to appear.
 
If you on 4.1 and your idevice is unlock so you can prevent your baseband by using custom firmware and upgrade to 4.2.1
 
Does anyone have an idea where can I get good ringtones for my iphone? (Non Hindi)

I've been to zedge and mobile9 but they are flooded with Indian ringtones. Its literally like looking for a needle in a hay stack...
 
Have an iphone 3gs, unlocked & using with Airtel.
Unable to delete songs in the device, suggest a solution.

Fah33m, I guess this is the only iPhone centric thread on TE. Many others have popped up intermittently but this is the only consistent one.

But even i think we should have a thread dedicated to iOS apps and games. Maybe people who suggest apps can also give a mini review alongside the name and description and the iTunes link.
 
^That would be great actually. A dedicated thread to apps, games, themes, etc would be a real help to a lot of people.
 
Unlock will come after iOS 4.3 is released. It's being tested as we speak. It might be a few days after 4.3, but it's 100 % sure. :)

i too heard that unlock will come after the release of 4.3.

but, isn't 4.3 still a beta ?
