It's just good risk management in general, always better to keep personal data away from the internet like tel. no, address, etc.,
It can be cloned onto another device and there's a slight risk of spoofing certain services to collect data in the right hands. Plus you might have a problem reselling if it shows up on some stolen/lost IMEI database.
I'm not a miscreant and neither are TE users but there's a certain Karan Kapoor from Agra buying his wife expensive gifts here

I think you misread my comment or should I say I didn't quite phrase that sentence properly, I wasn't judging or anything.
My point was, posting your phone's IMEI is the last thing that someone who uses his real name and location on the forum should be doing.
Showing off expensive goods is even more of an incentive for a potential miscreant to get you doxxed, hope that clears it up.

The frame cost me 4.5k. Lenses cost 7k.
I was expecting it to be more. What refractive index is it. I got nikons a couple of years ago and they were like more than 4x the cost. Was shocked when I saw the bill.
