My first month in gym will end at 7th oct.

i am 5'6" and last week my weight was 52.7kgs(weight seems to be an issue cause of less fat)

i am quite happy with my results, now bones are less visible on my upper body as compared to before and slowly week by week gaining more strength. actually i have one problem that i eat a lot but my body dont take it.

i started with and now am able to do"

(before - now)

dips: 5 - 30(in 2 sets)

chinups: 2 - 16(in 2 sets)

dumbells: 3kg(2sets, 20 reps) - 4kg(4sets - 20reps) n many more in chest, triceps, back and legs.

(i go to gym in the evening but planning to start attending it in the morning as then my whole evening will be free for studies)

Before going to gym i take 2-3 bananas and after coming from gym i take .. 2 boiled eggs + 1 big glass bananashake(with atleast 2 bananas in it)

i am satisfied with the improvements but will love to have some tips by the experts, i need FAT ... pls suggest some diets.

does it has anything to do with increasing body fat ? btw i dont do any shoulder exercise..

re: The Fitness Thread !

No, it is done to increase overall power. U can't afford to skip direct shoulder exercise. Sooner or later you will have muscle imbalances... stronger arms but weaker shoulders... u will be prone to shoulder injuries. Your bench press will suffer. Our body works best if worked out in a "synergy" mode. U cant do 2 times more arm workout and expect it to grow X2 more than other body parts. Do direct shoulder workout. Why do u want to increase fat? Increase muscle not fat!!!! Keep up the good work, focus more on bench press, dips, deadlifts, squats, overhead press and chin-ups/pull-ups!

Mass gainers are for very hard gainers like people who eat a lot, put a lot of efforts in training but still don't seem to grow etc.

why not try a mass gainer supplement or something?

re: The Fitness Thread !

This is really confusing.
Some say do cardio for fat loss. Only then will e have some definitions.
Some say only strength training as cardio is injurious.
Then there is all the confusion regarding diet.

The more we think and discuss, the topic almost becomes a Rocket Science.:S

i asked for fat because i have less fat in my body, correct me if i am wrong but according to my knowledge by doing exercises our fat is utilized to build up muscles in our body.

agree but i left shoulders from my will only, actually i am 5'6" and 19yr old, so i am expecting like 1 inch more increase in height if possible by luck hehe and afaik shoulder affects the height growth.

btw is there any myth like if somebody do shoulders, he look bit shorter than his actual height ?

re: The Fitness Thread !

Your post workout meal should have maximum carbs. Best ratio is 4:1 to carb to protein. Do shoulders without fear, u will grow anyway, its myth lol.

Your overall carb protein to fat ratio should be 40:40:20/Carbs:protein:fat.

re: The Fitness Thread !

This is too much!!!! U will stop gymming in 3 months as results will cease. In the beginning stage when we start training specially when young everything works, u will get results even doing basic push-ups @ home. But these types of routines don't last long. It is much more than u really need. Stick with compound movements, develop leg and lower back strength. if u want i can give detailed routine. I used to workout each body part two times a week and used to hit the gym 6 days a week. Now i train 3 days a week and see faster results training half the time, half the exercises

hey bro!

are you rly unable to find out some time for gym, it is kinda unfortunate bcoz even 30 mins of workout in gym can give you wonderful results if done right.
i 'll suggest you to make out such timings in your daily routine so u can manage just 30-60 mins for spending on ur body in a gym.

if still not possible then hit back to this place again and i will definitely find something useful and fruitful for you :)

i rly didnt get the starting part

actually "my current routine" is no problem for me and i do exercises right w/o any problem but yea sometimes i take help of my trainers when i am unable to do something or finding it hard to do.

i totally agree with your 3 days workout but it works for those who already have done gymming till some time and now are enhancing or growing your body parts more and the main reason behind this 3 days workout result is you REST, more you give rest to your body after exercises more it grows. all pros do only thrice a week workout for their body.

re: The Fitness Thread !

Not really, it's the other way round... when u advance u will be able to workout 5-6 days per week and get results... u need more rest between workout when u r just starting out. try it out.... within months ur results will decrease... and u will get frusrtared.

re: The Fitness Thread !

I completely agree with rocky !!! beginners really tend to overtrain, even I did plus they have the rush to increase weight as soon as possible compromising on form which is of no use .. if we realize the muscles on which we work are so small n we dont need to do 7-8 exercises for them to grow give them rest they will show results n yup mentor is really important. :)

re: The Fitness Thread !

Just like of all of us H_D will realise sooner or later.. for the time being let him enjoy the "pump" of high /volume rep training... we humans can learn from each other's experience but we still wanna re-invent the already working wheel again n again so let it be. :)

No man..i leave my house at 7.15am and will be back at ~6pm and i will be aleady tired. And also a good enough gym is ~15min from my house.
So going to gym is ruled out.

Can you tell me some ideas so that i can implement in my house itself...
