^^ Its obviously a populist move to get votes. Usually, Chandra Babu Naidu himself doesn't like such giving out freebies as he believes that such things spoil the people and he had never made a secret of it. But people in A.P. had already been spoilt by the nonsensical schemes during YSR's regime which were mostly misused and abused. Now, Jagan was trying to spoil the people further with even more enticing freebies. Do you that there was one village where people staged a protest because no party was giving them money for their votes except for YSRCP.
So, he really had not much choice in the matter if he was to have a any chance at the elections and I think he kept it grudgingly. Also since its CBN we are talking about, I don't think he would allow this to be misused/abused by the banks or the people. I think there will be a lot of fine print. Most of the other parties had a lot of nonsensical promises. For example KCR promised a 2BHK house for the poor in Telangana. That promise alone would probably require over 4,00,000 crore at least and that is just one of his promises.
As for Kejriwal, all his moves were populist and for getting attention. He would do absolutely anything for that. Randomly rewarding people who refused to pay bills for the electricity that they used cannot even he compared to somebody giving farmers relief from loans. He never had any respect for the law and the only thing he was capable of was spreading anarchy all over the place.
In fact, there are currently three politicians that I know who are very similar to each other in their attitude and are the most dangerous to the country or state and well-being of the people. They are Jaganmohan Reddy, KCR and Aravind Kejriwal.
