Something to ponder upon...

A IPL 20-20 does that bring out that adrenaline rush what a International 20-20 does...

Also dont you guys think its just dragging too much... We should have been in final stages of the competition by now instead of middle... And with the Hot Indian Summer its just too much on the players...

The Franchises and Broadcasters need these many matches to recover money.

Secondly its not a 3 nation tourney which will be in its final stages after 20 odd days, the thing is once IPL is over ppl would not be much interested in 50-50 matches in India.

Ppl might come up with the attitude, wherein they would wait for the IPL to begin next year than watch a 50 over match that lasts an entire day.

And judging by the turnout it seems that the crowd don't feel it like a drag.

And finally even tourneys like EPL and stuff have lotsa matches so its OK.

More matches, more crowds, more ticket money..... The stadiums will improve as a result of all this...eventually some money will trickle down for the stadiums' development. These are just 8 cities, there are many more venues in india where the IPL won't happen, People there would throng the stadium any day for an international 50 over match.

This is actually doing Indian cricket some good. People like Saha, Badrinath, Shikhar Dhawan and Gony get recognised and Indian fielding standards are bound to improve after the IPL...I've got no complaints :D

But yea nothing like supporting India in an international.

As for now ....Go Chennai :D !

But the weather... It just kills it... Both for the players as well as for the people who go to watch them battle it out...

I wanted to go and watch the match at Feroz Shah Kotla but decided against it cause of the Delhi Heat... Its too bloody hot to go out... How can it be decent enough to play...

One warning on IPL though, they shouldn't remove the max cap for a franchise to select players

This will make certain teams very strong and certain teams weak. The gap will increase and matches will become one sided and boring
Now, almost all teams are almost equal expect BRC

It will also cause salaries to sky rocket and player would prefer IPL when they are dropped from national squads rather than fligting out in the domestic competition to regain their places

Personally, I am finding the constant drone of boundaries becoming a bore. The fact that sixes and fours are so common place now - with even mis hits going for boundaries it has taken the shine off the feat. Bowlers are being treated like cannon fodder on the whole part and I long for some balance between bat and ball.

People who have been watching cricket for 10-20yrs will always prefer a little more contest between the bat and ball but T20 isnt really aimed at them, its aimed at getting new people watching the game

Feel the same , but whenever this topic is raised its ends at " T20 IS MORE OF ENTERTAINMENT THAN CRICKET " :(

I wanted to vote KXIP as i'm a punjabi but voted for KKR as i live there and am a McCullum fan.

And everyone, were Indians first and belong to our states later

Some chance shots are expected to go down but it's the duty of the bowlers to bowl well. Look at how Glenn McGrath bowled yesterday. 4 overs, 14 runs or so.

Btw, I am an RR fan :d

^^^
Thats exactly what happened.. Akhtar was lucky at times but all credit to him and had Delhi played Akhtar with patience, it was definitely their match..

Sachya ready for the big game against Chennai SuperKings today!

Lets see how the little master perform in todays crunch game for Mumbai Indians meanwhile for CSK, its not an important game but momentum over the last 2 wins will push them forward :ohyeah:

Mumbai wins.................

What a innings by Jayasuriya...

CSK bowling destroyed and launched all over.

Serious hitting. Wish I was in the stadium today.

Mumbai is back with super big bang :D :D
