Need to gather folks to get ready for this and God of War its going to be a long ride :batman:

Very fair to say, i'm really regretting selling my ps3 off in the next week.

@Gannu :(

Dude? Don't do that man! Trust me, you should hold on for a little bit longer - this one and Beyond: Two Souls later this year.

@dinjo: Be ready for this. We'll work it (and Beyond) out the same way we did for God of War: Ascension. It will be much faster.

Seems like it's going to be with me for another two months if not more, suffering from another injury setback.

I have been playing State of Decay which i guess is like The Last of Us and the game though the dev version is quite good , I'm just excited if its good then how good The Last of Us would be :D

Dave Cook from VG247 had some hands on with this one but was disappointed.

On a side note, the title is going for 2.7k at Flipkart and Nextworld. It was going for 3k before. When I had sourced God of War: Ascension, Intencity was running a 10% off and grabbed the title for cheap. Incidentally, the retail pricing was around 3k when it was launched but I sold mine for no loss on day 2! :happy:

Thats because the game is getting manufactured locally in india. Actually the price is still high. A locally manufactured game should retail at 2499 max. But still some people are expecting further price cuts.

OK the first review was up courtesy Empire Online and it was pulled! But few folks have been able to grab the excerpts from the review:

The Last of Us is not just the finest game that Naughty Dog has yet crafted and an easy contender for the best game of this console generation, it may also prove to be gaming’s Citizen Kane moment – a masterpiece that will be looked back upon favourably for decades."

lol. Begun, the AAA game release hyperbole has.

I am still pissed it has zombies though. I will have to fight my fear and play the game. Skipped all the trailers and will be going in blind. Naughty Dog has earned that level of trust at least.

:(
Same here.. I just hate playing against zombies.. and I straight away removed this from my wishlist too. But Naughty dog(oh yeah i am loving UC series as i am playing it now - new to consoles, sorry :P) and Gannu's post is making me rethink of this game.

But I am sure, i might hate it the way i hated playing Half Life :(

Downloading the demo, let's see how it goes. I wasn't going to get the demo if it was 10GB as some people claimed initially.

Good reviews as well!

EDGE- 10/10
OPM UK magazine - 10/10
Empire online- 5/5

Near perfect scores, the least being 88% by a certain German Gamepro mag. :eek:

:( But i hate zombies :banghead::mad:

Haha dude you've got to live with them! Last year, another zombie game grabbed the maximum rewards, one that stood out of the crowd for the sheer emotional depth of the game. I bet this is going to be in similar lines.

I hope you've played that one Rakesh. :)

Anyways, preordered the title. But first priority - watch Man of Steel!

Allwyn, how did the demo go?

The demo was short but very atmospheric. I was let down by the graphical aspect. Perhaps it was the night time set-up which couldn't really reflect it's true potential, but the textures and object details were completely flat. It's definitely not Uncharted level. Gameplay is something which I found to be quite interesting. You have item gathering and combinations, weapon wear and tear and no health regeneration. It acts quite realistically. The voice acting and character animation are as usual, stellar. The game does employ stealth to a good extent. I tried it on hard and took the demo very slowly. The standard infected can be dropped very easily in melee combat, but the Clickers (a higher mutated species) needs to be tackled from behind with a shiv.

The AI react very quickly to any sounds you make and attack you on first sight. I'm really looking forward to it now. Hope it's a lengthy title. The last thing I need is for it to be a short game.
