Hi Again

I am not able to find the G700 in the market.

I have shortlisted the following three handssets

6220 classic

n79 (after price drop)

6210 Navigator

6500 slide

Kindly suggest which one is best of these.

The parameters are good camera and 3g allrounder

gps is a plus but not necessary

budget not more than 14K

Err...The Nokia 6220 Classic still retails at 17.1K*

Anyways, it really is a decision between the N79 & 6220 Classic, each with its Pros & Cons.

If you need an all-rounder, N79 is the way to go!

Hi T.T.M

Visited the karol bagh market today and bought n79 for 13.9 k

and to my utter surprise Nokia 6220 classic is being sold for 10 k
yes I repeat 10K only, I wanted to purchase it for it was one year old phone
month of import by nokia India : june 2008

Can the mobile guru's can shed some light on purhasing one year old
mobile ?

Nokia 6220C for 10k. :O

In which city do you reside???

Did you get proper bill with your purchase???

It seems as though Nokia will be phasing out the N79 very soon. This type of price drop happened with the N78 too just before its production was discontinued.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as its completely sealed !

Warranty is applicable based on the purchase date.

Hey guys how would you rate all those clamshell phones? (flip open)

I'm planning to buy a phone sometime soon probably a month or so later ... I'm effing tired of those stupid candybars and slide things..

would it be wise to buy a clamshell? what are the good/bad aspects of it?

And any good clamshell in around the 15k bracket?

Unfortunately, Manufacturers don't seem to think so.
Very few options as far as clamshells are concerned.
Apart from the candybar form factor , Slide seems to be all the rage !

Clamshells are sturdier than Slide phones.

Well, there are better options available now, so most wouldn't bother with the N85.
The issues were mostly concerning its ergonomics and the flawed Navi-wheel.

Hey TTM,

I needed help with choosing a handset for myself. Im 18, just entering college.

Budget: 20k

Requirements:
Wifi, 3G, Edge, QWERTY, atleast a 3.15mp with autofocus and led atleast if possible

I have an ipod touch so music needs are taken care of.

Need an HTC, Nokia.....anything else that you think is really good to look at.

nokia 5610 XM

actually was waiting for Nokia 5630 XM.....but no signs of its release in INDIA still. Not even listed on Nokia INDIA site. any idea when its going to be available in INDIA....

First off, it may be a while before the Nokia 5630 XM hits stores here.
