Secondly, here's my requirement:

Budget 10k

1. Music quality

2. Camera quality

3. Build quality

4. Video playback / Screen quality

5. GPS

6. Wifi

^In order of priority

Current thoughts:

Nokia X3

Nokia N79

Please suggest the best phone. Dont want Touch screen.

Since your against Touch Screen your best option would be N79 according to me. You can check the X3 review at gsmarena it has questionable build quality, a poor screen and no Wifi.

I'd advise you to test some of the touch offerings. Touch screen phones have come a long way since last year especially in the 10k segment.

I'd recommend you to try a Samsung Star/Nokia 5230/Nokia 5800(Latest Firmware + 2010 model since nokia have upgraded the processor)

Ok...

so i finalised that next month will get a phone no matter what..been pushing this for few months... but need one...

Budget : 15000 MAX. Nothing more please. expensive phones are not for me.

1. Big screen

2. Music Qlty qith 3.5mm jack

3. Internet usage will be high

4. Good camera qlty, dont care abt MP count though.

5. Should have all the latest connectivity options..like 3g..Wifi..and what not.

6. Key pad is a must ....Would love a QWERTY one also..

hmm. since keypad is a must for you, check these two:

Nokia N79
SE Yari

n79... too old.

Yari... Not at all feeling anythin towards it... - small screen, weird looks.

Any other?.... I can do with either a keypad or a Qwerty one.

and... no 3.5mm jack.

Check out SE W995 or Nokia N86 8MP ... If u want touchscreen then Samsung jet is good choice ...all these phones sell for around 18k ...

Nokia 2730 supports only UMTS ie upto 384 kbps speeds whereas i600 supports HSDPA upto 1.8 mbps so i guess thats a better choice.

BTW if thats your only requirement, then why not buy something like this

the w995 is VERY high on my list...

is it for 18k ?? are u sure??.. thght it was like 20.5k??

what is the prices of w995, n86, i8510 ....

I pretty much like i8510... but in ebay i found it as 43k !!!

The SE W995 isn't doing too well, some say it is the buggy, rather stale OS.

The Nokia N86 (18.3K*) is a good option and you get Symbian to work with.

For an additional 2K, if your budget permits, there's the Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO and the Nokia N97 Mini to choose from. Both feature a slide-out QWERTY keypad and a touchscreen display, not to mention the WinMo/Symbian advantage.

The best price for the Samsung i8510 is 39.8K*, easily overshooting your budget.

U mean 22k??.. no mate.. thats too much for me... Even 20k is pushing it for me.. hate expensive phones. and i am a rough user.

Yeas the w995's MAIN flaw imo is the os... :( .. The N86 is still good i guess then.

Any other phones under the prices of 20k worth looking... any phones at all....

My current list is --> n86(most prolly), w995(if no other options are there.)

samsung jet is great phone.. will look into it also.. nice phone. have all the stuff i need and some more..

only quips... No OS and 5 mp cam.. camera is not a issue..but OS is...

Yeas mate... I know that.

but it seems i cant get all.. :( ... have to sacrifice something. Will check it out its touch response and then decide.

but as of now n86 is still the top in my list. lets see how it goes. :)

thanks for all the help... I have a week or 2 before i purchase till then ill look more. need to use this one for atleast a year.. :(
