Not sure about apps on stock markets. Will need to dig respective appstores for this.

Please do help me regarding this, or do tell me where to search for them. [Google hasn't helped me much till now]. And it is not necessary for these apps to be free.

How much does the N97 itself cost? And if his needs can be met at a lower price, that would be good too, because he really wont care much about SQ etc. etc.
The sole reason for him to buy a phone is so that he can do his stock trading etc. on-the-go. Please do suggest some nice software's for it.

Can you list some apps that your uncle currently uses in his laptop?

just jumping in this similar query of mine , generally I use "Sharekhan.com"'s software for ex. TradeTiger ( it comes around 5 or 7 MB ) & such software requires Java runtime app for basic need .

I am also planning to buy my 1st Touch phone & confused with good reviews of Spica (samsung) & 5800 (nokia)

as of I need it with 3G + Wifi + support for as above mention such app that help me to run Share trading on the move ;)

to be frank , I don't need much expensive phone for it :ashamed:

Check this app: MobFinance Worldwide Edition (Customize Your Worldwide Stock Tracker for BlackBerry!) - Free Mobile software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

try both spica and 5800xm once and get whichever is more comfortable for you. Spica lolls to be more powerful and android is yummy

Are touchscreen mobile fones sturdy enough for long bike rides (not drives) ?

Do they require extra care in high altitudes, low tempratures, rough terrain or you can just put them in your jeans pocket like traditional ones and forget them while riding?

Going by your username, if you are actually into mountain trekking and stuff, it would be wise to get something really sturdy. The convenience/implications of using a touchscreen based device in such (read tough, rough...) environments is what I am referring to, not low temperatures and high altitudes.

If it's nothing too intense, you could go in for a touchscreen device.

Samsung Star 5233 vs Nokia 5230
which one is better ?
which is a better music phone ?

By features and specs, the Nokia 5230 takes the lead.
The Samsung Star isn't too far behind.

How about the music quality.. I've read Nokia5230's users review - its not a music phone..

Not a music phone but still manages to output good SQ.

Nokia 5230 ~ 8.4K All Inc.

I have query regarding business phones. Need something in between 7-10k. Nokia e63 seems a good buy? any others? dont mind if its semi-business and semi-time pass either. Any phones in this category?
Basically looking for a phone with good connectivity features/organiser/MS office (or equivalent software to work on documents etc).

Also, since I have 2 sims, wanted to know if a dual sim phone will be a good choice? if so can someone suggest a few models withing my budget? again same feature sets are required.

You see, the problem with dual-sims phones is that the juice runs out sooner than you expect it to, irrespective of the battery capacity. So a high-end dual sim phone is obviously going to have a pathetic battery life (eg: Acer DX900 )

That said, it would actually make sense if you buy a low-end dual sim phone that sports a 1000-1500 mAh battery rating.

Ideal business phones in the sub 10k range would be the Nokia E63 (9K*) and the Samsung B7320 OmniaPro (11.2K*).

The OmniaPro has a stale yet workable (WinMo) OS clubbed with a lot of goodies, that justifies the current price tag. On the other hand, the Nokia E63 sticks to the essential requirements and plays on what it does best, at a lesser price tag.

You'll find a lot of video reviews of both devices, so see what you think about the usability and OS. Or you could simply let the price be a decisive factor.

If she does fancy a touchscreen mobile : Nokia 5233 (7.2K*) or Nokia 5230 (8K*)

Simple, no-frills, candy-bar form factor - Nokia 6303 Classic (6.2K*)

Clamshell - Nokia 7510 Supernova (6.8K*)

Difference between 5233 & 5230 ?

The Nokia 5233 is simply a cheaper, made-for-India alternative to (rather replace) the Nokia 5230. The lack of 3G & GPS is the main difference.

@chic_magnet

There's the Micromax Q5f which looks decent on paper but is miles away from the likes of the E63, considering your needs.

guys any personal reviews on HTC HD 2 ??
I am planning to buy it .
Confused between HD2 and iphone 3GS ??

Just close your eyes and get HTC HD2. it's the ultimate mobile phone!

Any update on my query?

Couldn't find app specific to BSE/NSE. Maybe, you need to rely on webpages/online trading.

Both platforms have facebooks apps. As I said, HD2 is "The Mobile Phone", 0.8" bigger screen, faster processor, unlocked, better camera, expandable memory and replaceable battery, Pocket Office on board.
