What OS does Samsung M5650, Samsung Star 3G and Samsung S3653 have? and which is the better of the three?

^^all three run java based UI (not a full fledged OS) and none are good to be precise. For chics, check

Nokia 7610S

Nokia 5310 XM (bit older but perfect for ladies)

SE C510

SE Naite

I would rather not give a touch screen phone to ladies. Thanks to their nails and noobishness, you will find the phone's display having potholes inside few months. :)

I am looking for a phone.

My needs are

1> Good Battery life...I am a student and generally talk quite a lot.

2> Decent display and looks.

3> All basic features required to use FB mobile

4> Music playback should be decent...I will use bundled earphones

My budget is 6.5k max including memory card. I would be able to spend Rs.100 more on a screen guard.

The models I am looking at are

Nokia 6303, Samsung Shark S5350.

I think the Samsung Shark is better. But here are the things can I get themes and java games for the phone and can I use Opera ?

today I roamed around mobile stores and checked se anD checked se naite. Found it to be pretty good. For games I would suggest se f305 for 5.5k and you can get a good pair of earphones and memory card.

Also consider the Nokia 5130XM ~ 4.9k
Price of this has reduced Rs.300-400 recently. Good music set and satisfies all your requirements.

Between the Nokia 6303 vs Samsung Shark S5350 the Sammy has better looks and also also has 3G which the Nokia lacks. But i guess it lacks a 3.5mm jack. So it might be a deal breaker for some.

Give the SE NAITE a miss if you plan to use the mobile for more than 1-1.5 yrs. The FAST PORT in most SE phones rears its ugly head after that and you get frequent disconnections of data cable and ear phones.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in .. but what do you think would be good price to sell 3 months old Tmobile G1 / HTC Dream(everything included) in absolutely pristine condition ? Around 10 - 11k ?

Intended Use- Music playback, Texting and Photography

Preferred Brand- Nokia, Sony Ericcson

Budget- 6K-8K

Choices already in view- Nokia 6303

It will be used by my sister so color can be any but still preference will be given to darker shades.

In the above mentioned budget, if there is any decent touchscreen or qwerty phone available then please do mention that also.

Infact lots of touch options :)

Nokia 5233 ~ 7.2k+4GB miscroSD(0.5k) -> 7.7k
Nokia 5230 ~ 8.3k+2GB microSD(0.3k) -> 8.6k

You can get the 5230 from ebay for 8.5k - discount(10%/20%)
Difference between the two models is the 5233 lacks 3G and GPS which the 5230 has.

Hi. I'm looking for a medium budget phone.

Budget - 5 - 6 k

Makers - Nokia/SE/samsung (would also be interested in checking out phones of micromax category)

Wanted - 3G, good >= 2mp cam, decent music player, touch screen / qwerty / wifi / dual sim if possible. (I know everything won't fit into 1 phone. at least 1 feature)

Samsung Shark S5350~6.5k
Has 3G(HSDPA 3.6 Mbps), 3.15MP cam, decent music player, lacks 3.5mm jack

Sony Ericsson Naite~6k
Has 3G(HSDPA 3.6 Mbps), 2MP cam, decent music player, lacks 3.5mm jack(FAST PORT)

1. Touchscreen - Good size would be a plus
2. Wi-fi
3. 3G
4. Keypad / No keypad both would work
5. Good Music phone.

try and have a look at HTC's TATTOO .. its a brilliant phone ..!! has got ANDROID OS .. you'll like it for sure .. and it'll fill all your needs .. :hap2:

Not really .. add 1k more to go for HTC TATTOO .. its an ANDROID based phone man ..!! pretty much sleek ..!! and will surely do you justice ..!!

6303 is said to be the VFM mobile in this segment so far .. and it has stood out to be a very good phone in this price range .. i would definately encourage you to go for this one .. :hap2:
