Please suggest a good gsm phone for around 1.5k,

I'm looking at Samsung E1085 and GURU1160, which is better of two?

Any other recommendation?

Samsung E1160 is the better option.

guys, what is the current price for nokia 5800?

13.5K (Inc. VAT) is what you should be looking at.

Happy to see the thread, still serving its purpose. Keep up the passion and your inputs! :)

A friend wants to buy a cameraphone and has a budget of around 9k.

It should have good music player capabilities too.

Both touchscreen and non-touchscreen phones from all companies are to be considered.

Which is the best place to buy mobile in Kolkata ?

S.H.Mumtazuddin is also very good. It is near Lal dighi.
If you want to exchange your old mobile, you will get a very good price. Also the prices are among the lowest available in Kolkata.
Nikky's is good but I heard that nowadays, they are not decresing the price too much. Mumtazuddin's price is lower most of the time.

I've seen the nokia 2730 phone, and it seems to be a good VFM phone, but reading some comments, I've seen that the phone heats up a lot. I would like to know if its true?

Regards

Sony Ericsson C510 would be the best Non-TouchScreen phone available for under 9K(8.6K). I've used it and believe me it is really sturdy and is good for music too.

Hi,

I have seen users arguing on many different Cell phone brands on many different websites.

I am not so much use to All these models

Can you please suggest me a handset. My criteria would be

- the best music phone in Clarity, Quality, Loudness

- Budget - max 12K to 15K

- Other features not Important to be best if compared with others but atleast should be present ie there should be Camera, FM, Email, etc,

Please Sugggest,:ohyeah:

The Nokia XpressMusic devices pretty much rule the roost, in this price range.

The slick Nokia 5530 XM (11.3K*) and it's big brother, the Nokia 5800 XM (13K*) are your best options.

If you feel the need for a keypad, go the extra mile with a QWERTY keypad & an OS (S60), by choosing the Nokia 5730 XM , which will soon be available.

Add to that, the Nokia 5630 XM which would suit you best! :P

Walkman Phones like the SE W705 deserve a mention, although they fade out in comparison to Nokia's XM lineup.

Other options in this price range aren't quite music oriented, although some have decent SQ.

Hope this helps.
