The 3.2MP Cam is quite good !
Isn't a problem that the model is a year old...
But then it will seem dated compared to the newer models.

Warranty is applicable from the time of purchase !

And as suggested earlier,Availability might be an issue !

P.S: Fix a budget and stick to it.Don't waste time exploring options beyond it.

try nokia E 63
it has all u need
2mp cam
3g, nice batt BP 4 L
also 2.36" screen, full qwerty pad,
full fuction browser, opens all types of websites
all of this in 12.5 k only
i got last week at Navi Mumbai

Not an average 2MP camera.

Both are in a different league altogether.:S
Why the switch from a music device to a Blackberry???
The 8100 lacks a few essential features as well...
There are better options to the 8100...

1. Moto ZN5 ~ 15.5K* (5MP/AF/XF Cam & WiFi)

2. SE W705 ~ 15.8K* (3.2MP/LF Cam & WiFi)

3. Nokia N78 ~ 13-15k* (3.2MP/AF/LF Cam & WiFi)

There are other devices with WiFi in this price range but they sport a standard 2MP camera...

Thanks for the advice bought G502, suffices to my needs perfectly and has great addition of google maps too.:hap2:

I also need a really low cost phone that can take a lot of damage:bleh: and is really easy to use.It must have a color screen and should not be light(weight) like 1100. My budget is 1500MAX.

No reason why I did the switch - just did it on the spur of the moment.

I doubt most of even the 8100's features will ever be used by me :S I find this phone quite cumbersome to use, at times I miss the simplicity of the 5130. but at the end of the day I can say - I USE A BLACKBERRY !! :p

Just got an e-mail confirming that my RAZR v3 has shipped from HK. Bought it for $43 (Rs. 2.1k) brand new off ebay during last week's no reserve auctions. Anybody want a new RAZR for 3.5k? :rofl:
This is gonna be a great gift to first time cell owners in my family.

Ummm.. you misread my post. I never said G700, but rather G700 "BUSINESS EDITION". Better now?

The E61 is definitely available. Check gsmarena if you need its specs.

There is the SE G700 Business edition without a camera , which you might have difficulty finding. :(

Unfortunately they all weigh a little lesser than the Nokia 1100...:p
