The Photography Thread !

Here are some from my trip to Mahabaleshwar. Be gentle guys, I've never handled a camera before, let alone a DSLR. Unless you count a KB100 as a camera, that is.

Images are only resized and some of them have been cropped, apart from them untouched. I'm using a 3008WFP for viewing, on my TN they look a little dull but I'm letting it slide.

Hibiscus

A warning sign for our environment?

A very co-operative subject, though very small

Ready to go home

The horses are well-maintained here. I retouched the shot a bit to remove some plastic cups in the midground.

Edit:

Shots taken with Nikon D40 and 18-55VR lens. Most shots taken with the P setting on the camera, except the caterpillar and the flower which were taken with f3.8-f7 apertures in aperture mode.

It's been a while. :) While my flickr page keeps getting uploaded with more portraits...here's something that can be posted here.

Thanks guys! :D

@sangram: Please resize those snaps! Am having to do with a datacard right now! :(

@Keane: Of course I do, it's a 10MP shot. :) Lemme post a 1680x1050 wallpaper in a while.

Stunner there Payne! Been following your Flickr stream pretty regularly, your portraiture work is classic! Unbelievably natural stuff, I love shooting natural portraits.

I'm telling you, get the 50 1.4, killer focal length that is for portraits :)

Just went out to see what's happening in the colony for Diwali...and well got some impromptu shots.

Posting after quite a long time.

HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL TE MEMBERS.
Here are some pics that I took last month.

No PP on any of the pics. Straight from the camera. Just added the frames in PS. Following two are long exposures with a light tobacco grad filter.
