Seems like many problems have been going on behind the scenes at FiveM since the acquisition of Cfx.re (the ones behind FiveM) by Rockstar back in August 2023. Late on Monday, a website called fivem.team was revealed and houses an very, very long timeline and list of huge issues taking place within FiveM. This document alleges many problems taking place at FiveM and Rockstar Games. In this unprecedented report, many pieces of evidence are shared in the form of chat logs. Furthermore, many other well-known community members such have backed up these claims.
Now there are also rumours that Rockstar actually acquired FiveM due to it's plan to push for Roblox and Fortnite like UGC (user generated content) and it is also being reported that Rockstar is meeting with Fortnite and Roblox creators, in addition to existing GTA content creators, about GTA VI and its purported push into user-generated content. Some of the GTA content creators have also come forward and put forth that this is most probably going to be the path forward for GTA Online.
Pete Basgen, global gaming and esports lead for WPP agency Wavemaker, told DigiDay:
Perhaps this could explain why, according to the Corsair Gaming CEO at least, GTA VI might be launching sooner than we thought on PC. If Rockstar really intends to push on the metaverse side of the game, it would be better to do it with as wide an audience as possible, especially since UGC and PC are practically synonymous.

Chad Mustard, COO of UGC gaming studio JOGO, added:It is my firm belief that the reason that they purchased FiveM is exactly that — to spin up a metaversal universe of custom-built experiences, and potentially UGC items, with an attached UGC creator economy. It will essentially occupy that adult-enumerated space at the top of the ecosystem; there’s a very natural place there for people that graduate from Roblox and Minecraft.
If Rockstar embraces UGC, it’s a game-changer, plain and simple. The demand for creator-driven experiences is already massive, and this could unlock unprecedented opportunities for studios like ours. The economics are proven, the audience is there, and we’re ready to build. This is the moment GTA creators have been waiting for.
