Help needed.

Was using the PMS just fine till now. suddenly PMS not detecting the PS3.

I fiddled around with some network settings for my HiMedia but that didnt work. so put all that back in default. no use.

I installed a Bandwidth monitor. removed it no use.

Installed the basic firmware for my router, rt n13u, no use.

Please help.. :S.
post some details. pc ip, router ip, ps3 ip.

are you able to connect to the pc via ps3

ip?

I use DHCP. so ip's are always dynamic.

And yea i could see the Windows media server icon.

Before this i had the DLNA 2006 error.

hi

bit noob to networking,

I have a PC system, WRT160NL router, PS3 attached to my LCD TV.

Till date router is only used as internet distributor, so like my ipad, ipod, any laptops or PS3 takes wifi connection to take on internet.

Yesterday i installed the PS3 Media server, but like some people I am also getting the giant red cross saying your PS3 is not detected.

The Network Magic which is there on my PC detects all devices my PC, and PS3.

PS3 has the media server enabled and also wifi connection works. When I search for media servers it shows WRT160NL as the option.

But the PMS still is on Red cross, The main Windows Firewall is disabled also. I have ESET installed as Antivirus, and am running machine on Win 7 X64.

Any help would be great.
