I got PROTOTYPE 2. I'll let you know when I'm coming to collect Witcher 2. I'll have another go at it tonight and see how things work out.

OK chance you're arm just to be aware you will going to have tough time especially with kayran with low fps

I have heard that fight is really challenging.

@Alpha: Thanks for the heads up. I picked up quite a few quests from the contract board in Flotsam. Currently on the 'Troll Trouble' side quest and it already gave me an alternate approach to that quest.

Oh, you have to wait till the last boss fight for ACT I. Then you will know the true difficulty arc, the Kayran is more of a puzzle boss fight.
Yeah better explore the entire Map completely, you will find ~3 -->4 ways to conclude the Troll Trouble quest. And at the same time do complete the Arm-wrestling side quests, they are a good way to generate some money if you are in a pinch.

Awww yeah! That is one of the most satisfying boss battles in the game. Very very rewarding.

I have decided to help the Troll and now I have to find out who killed his She-Troll. Not sure where to get that information.

I have already defeated big Max. So just one more opponent left; Bartholomew Bargee. Also, picked some fights in that bar. There was a line that totally cracked me up where the fight organizer says that the next opponent I'm about to fight, claims, that he can lift a bucket of water with his cock.

This game is truly amazing. I managed to complete 'In the claws of madness' side-quest. Saw both it's conclusions. Also, initiated 'Malena' quest.

Hmmm...
Look, the first way is you do some snooping around, go to the Inn / Tavern, a guy there [intimidation / persuasion choice] will spill the beans regarding who killed the SHE-Troll he is local thug, you will have to finish him off. Next up go to the local tanner / taxidermist and he will offer you the SHE-trolls head [you can purchase it / win it in a gambling mini-game], which is required for another story arc.
Near the Malena quest, the local witch's hut is also present, if you got entangled into the 'Melitile's Heart' quest in the prologue she can trigger the continuation and end of the quest arc here, you will have to speak to her and persuade her to tell you about Newboy's talisman and she will start the quest.
For the best fights and a good loot haul, take up King Ziggy's offer on illegal fights [talk to him in evening, right outside the Inn he keeps blabbering about himself].

Cheers! I'll resume it at 'noon. BTW, what's your download status update?

Patch bin_25 is on cue, will take till tomorrow till everything to be accrued [including English language voice overs], then I will probably install it and come up with the verdict by Wednesday tops.

Papa has leave today and I am currently in the office, had another row last night pertaining to these downloads.

I'm at the final part of 'Melitele's Heart' side-quest.

How many god dam wraiths do I have to kill before the ritual is completed? Is it time bound or body-count dependent?

Not beyond 10 of them IIRC. By then Anezka should complete the ritual. Keep stalking those wraiths one by one and it should be fine.

Any recommended potions that I drink prior to the fight? I have already consumed rook. Someone also suggested using bombs on them. I purely used Quen last night and was able to kill around six, before being overwhelmed with the number of wraiths.

Drink Swallow to improve the rate at which your health recovers [in combat].
Next use the sign which spits Fire [I think it is Axii], that is the most effective against wraiths, more importantly use the Samum bomb, as a rule of thumb elemental damage, such as Fire and Cold / Ice have a great effect on Wraiths and other spirit type enemies in The Witcher, using grapeshot and other fragmentation / physical effect bombs will not have the same perceptible effect on these enemies.
Use Grapeshot on enemies like Nekkers, Arachas and Endregas, Harpies in conjunction with the Quen sign.
Hope this helps and happy adventuring.

I was really disappointed by length of Chapter 3.I was hoping more than CD Project said some additional content

I completed that mission right after I made the post. Weird! Took me just one try this morning. I drank Swallow and used Quen extensively. I think I used 2 Dragon's dream bombs on them, which I crafted right before the fight. And the sign you're talking about is Igni. But it's good to know that these spirits are mainly defeated by these elemental signs/weapons.

I have a query concerning the Nekkers. I wanted to know how do we destroy the entrance nests to these freaks? That's in conjunction with the 'Nekkers contract' quest. I was able to beat both the Endegras Queens and eliminate that threat. But each time I raided these Nekkers territories, Geralt keeps saying "I need to blow up the nest" and nothing happens. Tried 2 bombs on it; Samum and Dancing Star (I think), but still nothing happened. Grapeshot bombs cost ridiculously high from Cedric. What's the best way to get them? Crafting I assume?

Buy the Grapeshot Formula from Cedric OR one of the traders [the mysterious trader] / the Dwarf Smith. Grapeshot is really easy to craft in the Potions sub-menu and its ingredients are easy to acquire.

Once you clear an area of Nekkers, there you will notice a small mound of bones this is the Nekker NEST, approach the same and it will have a small prompt [left-click if you are playing with a mouse], press the corresponding button. Geralt will plant a Grapeshot, the mound will start smoking better run away otherwise you will get hurt.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

Oh crap! I totally forgot that we need to purchase/acquire the formula, before we can even craft the dam thing.

Anyway, I'll get on that right away.

What difficulty are you playing on, if playing on DARK it is highly recommended you start collecting the DARK Armour sets, each chapter has a unique set.

Totally worth it, these are the most balanced Armour sets once you have all of the pieces.

I'm playing on the Normal difficulty. I was able to procure and craft the Hunter's armour. The dark armour sets you talk about, in which chapter do I get the schematics for it?
