'This is My Broadband Plan' Thread

I have been stuck on Airtel 2MB plan for like 6+ years,reason being no FUP. Yep, i dont have any FUP but it costs me like 2300 bucks. Now airtel is insisting that i pay 500 bucks and they will give me 16MB plan with 200Gb data. Any suggestions folks !

Whats the FUP speed after 200gb? Have you tracked your usage pattern? Higher speed could result in you consuming more data. So depending on how much you are using currently you can decide accordingly.

Performance: Excellent for downloading, not so good for gaming due to bad pings. Netflix performance is good, streams in HD without stuttering. When it is working, it is a good connection, once it goes down, minimum 3 days to get repaired.Worst case for me was 2 months (A******s didnt pay the rent to the landowner on whose property the tower was. He switched off the power :))
 
Thats the only plan they are offering in Chandigarh. Plus i have been using their services since 2008 and have had no hiccup. Not even once.

Performance: Highly reliable, very little downtime and fix within hours in case of issues, 13-15 Mbps for torrent downloads, extra perk of unlimited Local+STD calls for Rs.99 top up for the LL.

Performance: Speeds touch 4-4.5MB/s on download. Haven't encountered any downtime since getting the connection 1.5 months ago.

Performance: General speed touches 4.5 -5.2MB/s on download as well as upload.
Download/Upload speed on torrents/youtube/google touches 19-23 mbps.

Downtime since 9/2/2016 ( 9 AM - 10 PM):

14/2/2016 - 11:00 -> 60 min
18/2/2016 - 12:50 -> 2-3 min
18/2/2016 - 14:44 -> 2 hours 29 min
19/2/2016 - 12:50 -> 20 min
19/2/2016 - 16:33 -> 30 sec
 
Revising my details;

Speed and FUP: 50Mbps - 350GB - for 180 days
Post Fair Usage Speeds: 1Mbps
Amount inc Taxes: 3500 for 6 months
Performance: Very good, reaches to ~40Mbps for both up/downloads.

During rains, downtime is worst. Last monsoon, due to lightening, it was down for almost 13 days. Post that there is no downtime as such.

Performance: there is no peering and speed is constant across all sites, torrents. there is downtime but the issue resolution is quick as the isp is exclusive to our township

FUP: Nil
Post Fair Usage Speeds: -
Amount inc Taxes: ₹1400 per month
Performance: Speed is unreliable mostly around 0.7-1.2 mbps, and few disconnections everyday for 3-5 mins
