Make sure you decide on the IEM that you will like, as you found re252 to be bass lacking, DBA are less likely to suit you (but as santosh said they are technically superior, thus have better reviews ), you are bound to find better reviews of DBA-02, stating its the best, if not better on par with CK10.

But with DDM you will be happy as it has a lot of bass quality bass thats never overpowering, but in reviews you will read that the FX700, SM3 and IE8 does this and that better.

If you had asked for a toptier IEM without your history with RE252 , allmost all would have suggested re252. cause as faheem said re252suits your description perfectly.
if you can try both and decide, nothing better , but if you ask me for which IEM suits you better , it would be DDM , rather than the DBA-02. As i have alwys said go for SM3 if you want best of both worlds but thats very expensive.
 
Itching for new IEM?

I suggest you bring something new. Let's see - among universals, we already have DBA-02, DDM, RE-252, IE8, TF10, SM3 here in India. Even if RE-262 finds a place in that list, strategy has it. Try something new like UM3X, Ortofon e-Q7, FX700, CK100 (not CK10) or Monster Turbine Pro Gold/Copper. That way, you will have something new and different. Your ears won't itch more ;)

Here's a question though: Why do you want another IEM? If it's just to try something new, why not get something exciting in the "lower" range in the less than $100 category, which is heavier in bass, good mids, polite treble and keep the RE-252? Why do you need to spend more?

Selling 252's is not a necessity at all , i have listed it on sale . if anyone wishes to buy it , can go for it , they are pretty pretty pretty balanced and neutral sounding IEMs , no doubt .

Now as far as ITCH :bleh: is concerned , do u think it will cool down with a 100$ IEM ?? LoL

if yes , den come up with suggestions on 100$ iem with the same details as u have mentioned in the above post .
 
Since when does the price of an IEM determine the eargasm output level? That's pure BS :P

RE0 is @ $80 and that is a great IEM.

Why not get a M2? It seems to be very popular and fits the description I've given. I own Xears TD100-I, which fits the description as well. Hippo VB may not, but then it has good quality sub-bass not rivaled by many. If you want to spend, go ahead, I won't stop you.... But get at least a Mage ;)

Anubhav, Buy the radius ddm next month. Hopefully the price will reduce slightly as the newer DDM 21FR is supposed to launch in Jan.
 
^ yeah the left a lot of space while pricing DDM( i mean priced it low), so most definitely the next DDM will be priced higher.

Good anubhav that you are now not lowering (further ) the price of RE252 (WTF, its already down :O )

and for this bass head here , i suggest a custom that has 3 bass drivers and no other driver, ask amarbir he can sure ask unique melody to make something like it.

wont cost you much ..around 15-20 K :P

EDIT : add PFE, FX500 and HJE900 as well as they are good as well.(...and have good bass ;) )
 
PFE? You mean Perfect Bass? I doubt it. The PFE I have (not the PB) when amped has quality bass, but I don't think anubhav will be satisfied with it. If PB sounds dramatically different, then may be...

HJE900 has good bass impact. But, in certain songs that huge mid-bass quantity gets a bit excessive and it'll have treble trouble for anubhav as well.

A bit on UM3X and SM3: Westone UM3X vs. Earsonics SM3 - Page 8 - Head-Fi.org Community. Looks like SM3's "honeymoon period" of FOTM is well and truly over. More discussions on it's 'faults' now!

I'd say anubhav's best choice is to get a DDM OR keep RE252 and get a lower priced IEM which does bass very well, mids well and has polite treble OR he won't mind you gifting him your RE-262 :), but I will :@
 
a low priced IEM with good bass and smooth treble , :( ....vb,s4 both do not qualify ...m2 may be but still too less bass for him as he did not like the 252.

to be frank of all the IEMs, for his taste , only IE8, MTgold and MT (copper has sparkling highs), FX700/500, SM3, DDM , and yeah THE RE262 suits him.

of these ie8 can be had for around 10K if you can import form UK,

RE262 here with local warranty @13K,

victor FX700/sm3 @17-18k ,

fx500/fx1000/ddm@7-8k,

MT copper @ 10K, MT basic @6-7K.
but be wary of ordering online as a lot of fakes of MTs and IE8 are in the market.

One thing more why dont you try looking at head-Fi's market, just make sure you buy from a good member. you can grab great deals sometimes.

M2 has lot of bass .real nice bass with good quantity :D .It just doesnt go too low .. that's it .Otherwise its the perfect IEM for me .Anubhav , you should try the M2 if you dont want to spend too much.

Trying to source DDM now . No idea about lowest available price , and again the problem of getting it shipped internationally , i wish someone from TE offers me a used one , or AMARBIR , comes up with this brand too .

save money anubhav ,save money ! with all the money you have spent on the headgears till now (the "in hush and rush" buys) you could be enjoying the SM3/IE8 by now !

i was telling santosh in evening , that i spend more time reading reviews on IEM's rather than enjoying my fav tracks on my already owned IEM's :bleh:

this itch ...... just don't let me sit n relax and enjoy my music .

Well , now DDM seems to be the best bet .

But arranging it here , is getting an issue .

Will choose one from Fischer audio series too ( Eterna V2 or Silver bullet , or the T9002 ) from amarbir's thread .
 
Shouldn't have got the M6 , don't think you will like them .It has good bass and decent mids + soundstage but treble can be a little harsh at times. Its pretty good but only in its segment .Competes well with the RE-2 ,NE6 etc but not M2 .

I can't send you my M2 cause they are around my neck or in my ear 24 X 7 .Once I find a suitable replacement ,I can send it for sure :D .

Well , anyhow i have a plan in mind . Just something inside me is stopping me to spend 30k on a IEM :bleh: , very much confused to spend 30k on a IEM or approx 30k on a iPhone 4 .

and ya , now as u r all fyn and absolutely well and out f fever , so plz change ur sig :) Doesn't looks good reading u still ill .

Also , any news on 252's ?? someone there @head-fi or you yourself ?? Read a post of urs on 31st oct somewhere , saying I miss my 252's , might buy a new one from head-fi soon.. haha
 
At 5k i will buy your RE252, ;) ...but that would be robing you. :)

buy a Iphone4 and be happy and free form itch. when you are up there with Iphone 4 the onlt thing that can itch you is the thought of apple releasing the next phone.

Itch is the main problem here, for that i can only advise you to look at Head-fi market. once in a day you see a good deal on IEMs there, grab it , you can always sell them at the same price later( if you have used them nicely)

Oh, and yeah pay extra for insurance. HAY, faheem any news on your, TF10( sorry for reminding you, if it not here :( )
