^ If you want more bass .Rockbox your Fuze and increase the bass to +2 or +3 db from sound settings. Doesnt distort the sound and makes the 252 more enjoyable.
Yooo , will try this DIY trick sooner tonight or may be after diwali ( these guests eat half of my time .. lol )

Mine is V1 Fuze , so no worries of Rockboxing !!

Rockbox it for sure, try EQing. Sometimes the best option is often the simplest one. And one which doesn't involve spending money. ;)

Its really funny how I can think so cheap sometimes, here you are dying to make your next big investment in your path towards being broke and i'm convincing you to simply EQ your fuze. Shame on me :P

Sorry about that outburst, if you wanna keep your portable setup simple, then keep it simple.......your fuze, go thru LO, get an RSA protector, hook it up to your RE-252 / AD700 / M50.

If portablity is not so important for you, get a good desktop Dac + Amp like a Audio-gd Fun. You should be good for a long time with the Fun version A.

How much max can you spend ?

i men if you can afford to get both m50 and AD700, why not go for dt880 600ohm and a good amp,

well i dont know if you will like K702, k702 is simply superb, i donno why some say it has less bass ...its bass response is superb in some recordings . other i guess its a problem with the D1 , am sure the bass will be great when paired with canamp, bursonha160 like amps.

my question to you is if you can afford to buy both why not get one better than both.!?

I wouldn't recommend a K702 to someone who doesn't have a decent amp to drive it just like I wouldn't recommend someone a Ati 6XXX GPU with a 300w PSU.

Unless you are planning to buy a really good amp along with the K702 or already own one, its a bad idea. There are other HPs which are different than the AKG's but require much lesser driving force to tap onto the full potential of a headphone.

I found these to be very interesting ATM 100th Anniversary Denon A100 have arrived!

Ya buying both together is not an issue , but since i will be entering into the HP feild , i would love to go by our basic rule , start with the lower end one's , dont just jump to the highest , need to learn what was missing in X and why i now wanna buy Y and now why am i just madly craving for Z . So following that rule , will go step by step and as benny mentioned , anyone not having a AMP should not go for k702's , and for me portability is quite a important factor :D

As of now someone give me a handsome deal on AD700 or M50 :P

Bundle A , looks like a steal deal .

But then , me keeping myself away from AMP-ing at the moment .

Update - have just now rockboxed the fuze , in sound settings did bass to +2db .

Rest all default , definitely a noticeable improvement in bass of 252's .

Any other necessary setting i need to change ???

why is bundle a a steal del ...you can get m50 here at 6K and D1 at 13K , will reach you in 2 days ...i

if you order bundle a at $498 = Rs. 22.093K ...DAMn thats a goo...d deal! ?...not to forget customs and shipping charges and delay

if you can spend that much get D1 + AKG 701 at 26-27K

BTW..i would never recommend k70x without a good amp ...i forgot to mention it last time .... even the dt880 i recommend has to have at least a beefy amp

I did my homework WRONG this time , I considered Mavericks D1 to be 400$ alone . Thats why sounded me steal deal @ $498 . As $400 + 110$ ( M50 ) + 30$ ( metal stand ) = $540

It's Jaben.net guys. It's always in Sgd. 498$ is 17k acc to google conversion. If some1 is coming down frm Sg then it's cheaper.

Coming back on topic, I tried two of the most talked about IEMs here. Or should i say CUSTOMS!!!! :P

Lemme give you a hint ;)

Starts with a U and ends with a M!!!!!

Doesn't that hint make it obvious? UM Mage/Miracle? :/

What did you think? Keep in mind the universal mold version won't sound as good as a proper custom..

Sent from my T-Mobile G2.

Lucky You !!!

Surely enjoying benefits of being there in Singapore .

Post a brief impression story soon :D , Waiting Eagerly :)

@ benny sachdev - Great inputs, Read it just now ! seems u were not much impressed by them .

Well @ everyone :-

I wanna add

* Westone UM3

* Audio Technica CK100

* Audio Technica CK10

CK100 taking the lead , would like to have impressions and inputs from respected experts of our forum or actual users of these . ( if any )

UM3X is very good and might suit you but still its very costly, if you can go that high, get SM3 for cheaper(also sm3 suits your requirements as it has very good bass response with somewhat balanced FR)

you will find ck100/ck10 bass lacking as you find the RE252 bass lacking!

You are right , i was just reading detailed reviews for UM3 and CK10

UM3 and SM3 u are right are too costly , both will burn deep holes in pcoket .

Where as CK10 , seems to be a good buy . But if they also bass shy , then i might not like them . Still reading in dept reviews for the same . You have any idea on price of CK10 ( price- shipped to delhi ) and if any used deals availble ??

Next , i am doing a comparison between DBA-02 and DDM . They both will end up burning a small hole in my pocket :bleh:

its getting tough to decide between both of them . Both are worthy in there own sound-stages .

You are more inclined towards DBA-02 where as esantosh finds them to be rich in treble . Some one like me who doesn't like highs biting my ears , might dislike this thing .

Esantosh praises DDM over DBA-02 as he finds it to be an overall all rounder , but just a fit issue . which i personally feel will be adjusted well , after trying few tips .

hmmm............what to do ??

For CK10, contact toxicdrift his friend was selling them at 11k +shipping ( from delhi/mumbai)

CK10 has the best imaging of all IEMs as per some, are very quick with its bass and very good bass, but the decay is very very less, so many find it bass light,

if you are considering CK10 , get DBA as they are very similar and DBA-2 has a little more bass than CK10.

DBA are very balanced IEMs.

as for Between DBA and DDM , i dont think thats what santosh thinks , i'll let him clear it himself.

UM3x retails higher than SM3.

No! As strategy says that's not what I feel about DBA-02 and DDM. I feel I can recommend DDM to more people easily since it's more easy on the ears. DBA-02 requires a certain taste in order to appreciate. I actually consider DBA-02 as my #1 IEM ahead of DDM and RE-252, if it matters. DBA-02 and DDM are nothing alike. If I have to shorten their strengths, DBA-02 has technical superiority, DDM is musically engaging.

DBA-02 has more bass than CK10, whereas CK10 scores in the imaging department and of course, build quality. But, the differences between them are not big enough for you to consider CK10 over DBA-02 in terms of SQ.

UM3X is a good choice to look into. UM3X and SM3 could lose out on the value for money proposition, but are none the less top-tier IEMs.

DBA-02 and DDM are confusing me a lot , have even read hoker's views in 115 IEM test on head-fi .

He also has his own point of view , both are good in there own ways .

I am unable to decide which one to go for .

My ears are having a strong itch to try out something new . They just need a NEW IEM :D , no matter they are pretty satisfied with the 252's .

Well , have sent u a mail , do check and reply :)

TF10 is also under consideration .
