Top Tier IEM WAR , Do Participate

Just wondering, what do you plan to drive the IEM's with? If you want more bass, a RSA Mustang / Meier Audio Stepdance can do the job.. provided your source is good..

True , its all about how much you read read and read , the more time you spend reading other reviews by experts abroad , the more refined gets your LINGO , the more precise gets your details , so overall you become an EXPERT in no time :D
 
Yes,I mean,I can write pages on something I can VISUALIZE,but describing music or sound with such detail is something of a different league.You guys are really becoming hardcore headfiers.
 
back to the topic, MY HM-602 + RE262 bundle has arrived :ohyeah: ....its in gurgaon with the friend who helped me order it.!!

will soon give you my impressions on re262...best mids of all,(as per some) ...let me try , DAMN i am exited!!

esanthosh, saw the Hippo ES review only now, yep the words as well as the pics have improved. However the latter always has scope for improvement.

Did I miss it or is nobody talking about AT CK10?
 
^ Pics - gift me a good camera ;). Either I should become a good photographer, which may never happen or the camera should improve and compensate :P.

BTW, Hippo ES / DDM / DBA-02 are all "impressions". But, Hippo ES is just an attempt at an impression. I really don't think they should be called reviews at all :)

CK10 is a pain to get. I don't think it's available in the US. You need to import from Japan, which means more $$$. Secondly, DBA-02 nearly matches CK10 in SQ, except for some differences. DBA-02 is locally available. Of course, CK10 has great cable and build quality. But may not be worth the trouble of getting it!

lol , i dont sell free stuff, moreover i would never sell something thats now being called king of mids...but if i dont like the synergy of HM-602 +RE262/Miracle +i might sell HM-602 (only) to get HM-801/ Ipad ( for digital output)

yeah as santosh said they are very alike , ck10 has better imaging and speed,(+build) while the DBA has better bass and airy soundstage( as i have read)

DBA 2 are available with local warranty at 8K , while the cheapest CK10 soucing will cost you 11K ( i doubt even 11K is possible now as Toxicdrift's friend who quoted this price is MIA). so 3K+ is not worth it( if you dont like to collect EOL legendary stuff)

second that. source will make a difference with dynamic driver IEMs like RE252( though i've heard they are comparatively easy to drive.
 
Easy to drive != How well they sound when driven well.

My JH5's sound excellent out of my G2, even better out of my iPad, but with my setup of y2 + Protector its beastly.

P.S I'm thinking of getting the JH13's soon. Lets see if the planned cash inflow happens. :P

clieOS has said that the synergy is not very great as both are warm. You don't have to sell free stuff, gift it away :P

Guys that IE7 deal @ Rs6500 for 5-6 units is still available , People from chennai PM me . Someone needs to go and visit the sellers personally to check the authenticity of the product . As per his words , all boxes are sealed and 100% brand new and genuine .

Lemme know for IE7 , if others buy then i am also IN for one .

Lol , yeah thats a way of looking at it !

clieOS said that , both have forward mids...but i am hoping the HM +miracle comobo have good synergy, but i am also hearing about this rolled off highs at around 13-15KHz(in HM)

oops i missed it , its Diwali time here in Delhi ,and relatives are coming at my place every now and then . SO i am keeping real busy .

Its the email update on my blackberry , that makes me come to the PC and reply to certain posts :D

Sorry i missed ur post , well as of now i am driving them with my fuze most of the time . Sometimes with my dell notebook . ipod's also at times , but mostly using FUZE only . I am more of a drag and drop person , which is not there in apple :(
I actually prefer portability , so adding a separate amplifier will be a hassle .
I will always prefer a IEM that's easy to drive on direct PMP's . that's why avoiding even TF10 . ( as have heard that it shines much better wid an amp )

hmmm , if u or the experts advice amping is very much necessary then can go with a portable amp only , not a DAC cum headphone amp .
something so portable that can be tied together to my PMP :)
No E3 or E5's ( I just don't wanna spoil my high volume listening pleasure )
even a ibasso is a bit large and bulky .

Read the 2nd review here by SolidVictory... he explains audio as if he is doped..
