Is the ethernet port for input or output? I have a device which only has ethernet port, no wi-fi. Will this device be helpful with that?

For the price, you can buy a good wifi usb adapter for the device you need it for/any other router that supports extension capabilities. I think the ethernet port is Input, and to be used to use this extender as an access point.

Unfortunately the NAS device I have does not support USB wi-fi adapters. And I'm having real trouble putting both the router and the NAS in the same place since my router has a very odd placement and can't move it at whim due to the cable entry point at home.
If you don't mind, could elaborate on the bold part over PM? I know this functionality exists, but I don't know what it's called or how it works. Any specific model of router you could point me to?

ethernet port is to set up, or access point, this is an extender, can not be used as standalone router
this directly plus to power socket and you can setup with wifi or ethernet port, thats it

well.... a bump... i was too busy with other things in life please do check my other sale post , i will be putting more items for cheap in coming days
