Probably FSP SAGA 350W comes in that range. Gannu bought it a few months ago. :)

Fixed! :P

My download rig has been running 24x7 since then. The system got jinxed after running off a local psu for about a month.

That's a good psu. Has a 6pin PCI-E connector as well. The only gripe is it has just one SATA power connector (not really a let down since you can have additional ones using a molex to sata converter).

System was fine - the psu conked. Don't risk that! A friend's psu went down and took away the motherboard with it.

ok fianlly upgrading the psu as well

i ll not buy the local psu

please tell which oone to buy from the follow :

1. fsp- sagaII 350w ~1.6k its 80% FSP

2. fsp - Blue Storm Pro 350 - 2.2-2.4k ist 80% plus FSP

3. or the gigabyte superb 460w 2200 something

i stumbled upon this webiste and it says FSP is OEM for giagbye smsps [WIP] ATX PSU Maximum Combined 12v Ratings - Guru3D.com Forums

i m more inclined towards the 1st option sagaII 350w , meets my requirements and my budget as well

wat say

final call

4Pin Floppy Connector 1

S-ATA Connector 3

4Pin Connector 3

PCI-Express Connector 6PIN

this is wats wriiten in the website link!

please see it now and confirm :P

^Cant be taking out the panel again - it's been stowed in a corner of the luggage compartment, high up in the room. I'm sorry but you can safely go ahead with the purchase.

kthxbye.

lots of branded corsair psu's in the market section....makes me think either they are not satisfied or they are overspending or may be still upgrading ....i used local psus for the 1st 5 year of my computing(Intex-300,iball-450)....never had problems with them but later on upgrading to more costly and powerful hardware i bought a CM 500 exPower psu-Rs2200...if ur budget allows go for zebronics or gigabyte

Please let us know full config; also mention any upgrades planned for sometime soon/not-so-soon-
cpu+mobo.
any OCing- ever?
how low a gpu for hdmi? 4670/4770 kind of low or lower? :P
how many HDDs and of how much capacity?
size and no. of fans?
optical drives?
misc devices?

Going by the basic info of E5300+G31+ 1x 500GB, a FSP SAGAII 350 seems more than enough for you- even if you add a HD4350 or something similar or tad better for HDMI later.
(actually adding basic but decent gpu to E5300+G31 is a good and vfm upgrade rather than spend more on pricier mobo with features that look good on paper but one may not use or AMD setup just cause needs DVI out or better gfx. :P)
1600/- is a decent price; 2yrs warranty and shipping cost dilute the vfm-ness. :P
But can't ask for more in 1600/- bucks either- honestly. :)

But the information asked for will help you decide if you are better off spending a bit more now rather than discover that later, when you already have something that may get a bit too overwhelmed by the additional requirement. :P.

ok

i may add another HDD later in 6-7 months as need arises

have 2 optical drives 1cd writer , 1 dvd writer

one pci tv tuner card

will overclock moderately - not extreme :P

i m never going to game so the basic GPU which has a HDMI output will be added later when i upgrade to 24 inches

basically i have no ideas about the gpu's never used any nor wil use any in future the nos like 4350 , 4670 4870 5850 or watever fascinate me :P

i wonder wat these r :bleh:

i ll use the lowest n the cheapest one for an HDmi output thats it ,

nothing more- it will be used for 24/7 torrenting

and also please if someone can confirm if the sagaII 350 has 3 sata connectors or just 1 a said by gannu

coz i nned more connectors for further HDD additions

dont like convertors :P
