Hello,
My uncle is salaried and got 2 mobile phones, 1 from his office for official use (Vodafone postpaid) and other Jio or Airtel his personal use.
The Vodafone postpaid according to my uncle is only for calling (no data) and total amount he is liable to pay is around 24000+ ?
He never used this phone for internet data use (as its a small wifi/data less NOKIA device) and only used for making calls..

Please check attached photo of PDF bill. What can be done in this case ?
His company who provided vodafone postpaid is not paying for that huge expenses.

Unable to understand previous dues current dues on credit limit of 4000 only ?

Thanks.
17.8 k previous bal? Assuming his employer co.. is paying all his phone bill so co. has missed his payment or due negligence in not bringing this matter to him or might be a foul play deliberately delayed.
Usually when the bill crosses the credit limit or the agreed co. approved bill amount, one usually gets an email/call from employers billing dept. asking for explanation for high billing cost. Negotiations also go wherein credit limit does get increased if data/calls etc. usage is found valid.

In this case either the uncles employer is at fault for the above causes or your uncle knowing this ignored thinking his employer will pay the bills no matter the amount.

Edit: But vodafone thing is scam for sure. I was infected with this few years ago

Its mostly this postpaid thing! The trick they use is slowly they start to increase the bill without customers knowledge and not everyone analyzes his bill utilization every month so from 20-30bucks till 100s and then thousands depending on the plan they try to loot, slowly gradually or all of a sudden zor ka jhatka pocket ko fatka type!
Ex-vodafone customer here and every 6 months at least one email was sent to nodal for reversal for charging few extras!

My uncle shifted entire liability to company, because mobile was provided by office for office use..
He is out of headache now..

Unrelated to the topic, why do people use postpay still in the days of unlimited prepay options? I have never really understood it!

There may be reasons why people want to go with post paid. I also don't know all reasons honestly but in my experience with vodafone, when I was on postpaid (in 2020), I use to get far far less marketing messages and even the ones from Vi itself. I am on prepaid and the amount of spam I get from Vi itself is mind boggling. I have activated DND and explicitly told them it is because I want to escape their own spam messages. They literally message me at 1 AM (yes night 1 AM) to binge watch as it is unlimited data in night.

I am switching to Jio now, not because of the spam messages but just because my wife already uses Vi and I want a different network.

Sometimes postpaid is selected also because company may be reimbursing and prepaid may be difficult to get reimbursed and postpaid it just easier to get it paid by company. My statement may not be valid in all situations but is in some.

I do have Airtel Postpaid with family plan of 999 with unlimited data and calls. I pay around 1200 per month inclusive all taxes for 5 connections. Works out cheap. I think now they have limited the connection s to 3 members but for existing users the plan remains the same.

Since when have you been on the 999 Family plan?
Some years back. Sooner or later Airtel will restrict the number of connection with their existing plan or they will ask me to migrate to Airtel black. If they scrap this plan I am thinking of moving back to prepaid again.

Yeah, from what I have seen, mostly people use postpaid when getting reimbursement from company and/or when they have subscribed to family plans. Helps in sharing of data across members, carrying forward of data, etc.
We, also, have kept a postpaid number active, but it is on some legacy plan of 600 bucks a year and hence works out pretty cheap as it is kept only for incoming.

been using postpaid for the last 14years (13.5yrs Voda and 6months of Airtel) and have yet to see such a thing on my bills. since unlimited calling came into the picture, the bills haven't crossed rental+taxes per month. bill is on auto-pay and gets processed every month 3days before the due date. Even had a case where I got a call from Voda customer care when I was on roaming and got charged for it and had it refunded after escalating to Voda support.

Phone bills are very simple these days mostly coming to Rental plus taxes unless there consumption beyond the plan's allowance.

Op, if u get to know or understand what all charges or unexpected billing was for, do share.

Would be good to know. Atleast to understand what one needs to care and be aware about.
OP mentioned his uncle works in stock market firm so I'll take a wild guess and assume maybe there were some international calls made to firm's clients?
