BTW if we activate 3G, can we use VMC / VL plans that of EDGE?? Or it'll become mandatory to use 3G plans only??

just switched off and on 1 hour after sending message.. speed looks increased.. is there any speed test for mobile?

I think I am first in this forum to have vodafone 3g :D lolz at me ;)

^ Congrats. For me still no 3G, its been about 4 hours since I sent the message. :( Same for my friend.

Called CC and they said its still not active in their end. :'(

Anyway how are the speeds? Try with the Speedtest.net application.

you are right....:)
i even called up voda cc after i failed to log into the 3g network (choosing UMTS only in mobile)
they were clueless or maybe just keeping mum

My phone still shows the Edge symbol .

I have the edge/grprs setting on my phone . Are there any different settings for 3G network ?

thats kinda low

I got around 5 to 6mbps on ma zte blade on reliance 3G on just 3 bars of network.

my phone was also showing edge symbol till i sent the message ACT 3g. then it is showing the H symbol and am getting pretty good speeds with the same old www apn

Oh. But wherever I try it doesn't go above that. Btw what about upload speeds? I think the phone is limited to 384k, doesn't support HSUPA I guess.

3g signal comes and goes here in chennai for vodafone.

Btw,Airtel 3g gives me around 1mbps on activating 2g plan(aka rs 98) and switching over to 3g network :p
