Ok, so everything's almost perfect now, if only we could have a way of installing Daemon tools or Alcohol, it would be perfect :)

For Virtual Drive?

Try Extensions for Windows' Virtual Drive.

@ renegade and alsi, completely agree with you guys, opening 2 work sheets in excel and working on them side by side, with 150% zoom is just awesome!!!

There are many short things like the view desktop button to the exreme right, jus take the mouse as far as you mouse pad allows and as down as you can, and click, previously i had to catch that small quick launch button or use winkey+m.

There are many small things that ppl will just love abt win 7, the time saved using these enhancements will be much more that any performance dips in any benchmarks..

so apparently the following virtual drive softwares work ...

MagicIso, Virtual Clone Drive, UltraIso and PowerISO

Now only if the gaming performance was as good as that in Vista :P ... lol

looks like a lot of good reviews for windows 7. seems MS has got this one right for a change. :)

any ideas when final version will be releasing?

speculations are by the end of the year... RTM around July/Aug, retail around Nov before holiday sales :D

Actually Its surprising to see MS is getting many things right now a days, The live suite, the azure services and all, its really building it up, frankly speaking there are no competitors in those areas, this time they are innovating..:O

^^ +1 they sure have stopped copying stuff and getting innovative and Windows 7 is a proof of that.

The Beta version owns the vista by a decent margin. Can't wait to see what the original release does to vista & XP :P

They did not copy stuff previously too! It was just that they announced their plans and features long before the implemented them, and it gave the oppurtunity for the others to implement them before MS.

have you guys replaced your vista/xp? or running it on a different partition or virtual machine?

i think ill try it out on virtual machine.

Virtual machine would be fine if you have the resources, else the best would be to install it on a seperate Hard Drive :)

Windows 7 is getting good reviews everywhere is see, seems like MS has finally managed to pull it off and being a beta it can only get better, and if thats is the case i dont see why microsoft will find it easier to get people to shift to windows 7 than it found to attract people from windows xp to vista

Running win7 x64 on my base machine. its fast and nice.
audio is much improved compared to vista and gaming its fast.
games loads fast....
antivirus problem and firewall problem.
managed to solve antivirus by using McAfee 8.7

Windows 7 is running fine on my IBM lappie... 1.66 Core Duo proccy 512 MB RAM and 80 GB HDD.. If MS doesnt screw this OS up then I'm definately buying this OS for all of my home pc's.
