I think vista is good, provided you have minimum 2gb of RAM.

And after installing SP1 it become of fast.

And DirectX10 based gaming is added advantage :)

He's right.
I trie vista first time on my Pentium 4 2.53GHz with 1gb of ddr 266mhz ram and an outdated 6800xt agp card runnining on an entry level asus motherboard with agp 4x interface... and I hated vista and went back to xp.

Now I am runninv vista on Dual Core E6550, 4GB of 667MHz DDR2 ram and 8500gt 'vista-ready' graphics card and Im loving vista and cant even think of going back to xp.

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 and recently tried the Media Center. I have installed VLC, K-Lite Mega Codec Pack as my main A/V software. They all play formats like .avi and .mkv flawlessly but in Media Center when I try to play an avi file, it says, File or Folder is missing and also cannot play the file. How to fix this issue?
