Can it be done without these tools as well? I am planning to flash my slim (ver. 13146) to 1.92 over the weekend and am hoping to be able to do it without any tools. Don't wanna update to 13599 yet as that would lock the SPI and i'll have to perform Sputnik or a Kamikaze hack.
 
Do you have the keys with you ? If yes life would be simpler it can be done without the tools but its much more difficult especially powering the drive.
 
^ nope, need to extract the keys as well.. I know the 1 sec thing could be tricky but am hoping to be able to crack it..

Any idea if dash 13146 would create issues for v1.92?
 
Dude , extracting keys on Slim is a tough ask if you have not done it before i would not recommend to try it on your own
 
I borrowed it from my friend which he borrowed from another friend and cycle is 6 level deep.

Sorry for being butter noob, but from GeOW 3 onwards, all backups need the LT2.0 to function ?? If already running say LT 1.9, can 2.0 be updated without opening up the console and all?
 
You need to open the console and plug the dvd drive to CK3 or other tool not open the drive since you might already had the key
 
YAY! Finally flashed my drive to LT + 2.0 successfully. :D

Got my DVD drive key, but my warranty sticker is now scrapped off, so no more warranty. But the trade off is much better and now I can open and flash my console at will, without having to worry about any dam thing. Tried Gears of War 3 and it works flawlessly. :)
 
Amen brother! Since my vacation has just begun, let the good times roll!

Can't wait for Arkham City to show up. :D
