Graphic Cards X850XT or 6800gs?

Dude... fact is when so many ppl are against you, its simple that you are an nvidiot and no one else is a fanboy. FYI the 1024x768 framerate is with HDR enabled and the 2048 framerate is while using SM3 shaders but no HDR. The same can be achieved with SM2.0 which was added in a later patch which improved ATI performance even more. You know... half knowledge is worse than no knowledge :P. Simple fact of the matter is if you wanna play with HDR enabled, get a 7800/X1800/X1900 video card. Anything lower will not do. Whining won't do any good either :P.

well ....... i don't want to explain u everything to u again ..... i am not a nvidiot :P .....

everylink posted by u guys i have seen that X850XT and 6800 have same performance maybe X850XT has little better sometimes but stilll that not playable ..... still u guys are giving only assumpations ...... if u want to proof something please give any valid points ok ....... only typing that 6800 will not give any performance with HDR and SM3 is pointless ....... with 1024x768 each and every game is playable with 6800 .......

and if u want to proof ur point please give us valid reasons ..... ok

that right and its also dangerous for u ...... so its very idiotic for anyone to think that he has fulll knowledge about anything .......

Lol when it won't run sm3.0 code, whats the point abt giving decent fps ! And all games until dx10 will have multiple code paths. Devs won't code only for the latest and greatest. There is still a huge no of people on X8xx, x700, x600 series,9xxx series, fx series and not to mention the ones on on-board etc.

Yea, they make games that run on hardware sold at least within the last 2 years, nobody is gonna buy the game if it dosent work decently on their system. By the time SM 3.0 becomes a minimum requirement, SM 4.0 c or something would have come out :D

Done then. 7800GT is the one.

What's the official market price of 7800GT (in Delhi?), i'll talk to Switch about his price.

And are there any plans for a price cut on the card or anythling like that in the upcoming months? If there's to expect a price cut in next couple of months then i'd like to wait instead.

MSI is 21.5k, XFX extreme edition is 22k and XXX edition is 24.6k. Check out the price guide. These are mumbai prices btw delhi should be a bit lower.

Oh ****, i just found out my mobo doesn't support PCI-E, its 8xAGP.

So what card should i go for now if my budget is 18k? Or should i first upgrade my mobo? (its an Asus P4P800-VM series, Intel 865G Chipset series)

OMG Owned!!!
This thing is like

Anyways... The best AGP GPU as of now is 7800GS but i wont recommend you to buy AGP as of now... Try jumping to PCIe alltogather :)...

Fine then. First the motherboard now. I don't have a freakin' clue where to start.

Reccomend me a simple PCI-E mobo. :P and what should i do with this old mobo then?

buy any PCIe 9xx chipset mobo which is compatible with your proccy... either LGA 775 or Socket 478.

Some people may tell you to shift to AMD. Dont do that right now.....

Wow i'm total n00b to this. how do i found out which PCIe 9xx chipset mobo is compatible with my proccy (processor right?)

I have no clue about mobo and proccy's and all, its the first time i'm doing something like this so i may keep asking silly questions.

I'll give all the details required, just reccomend me a good model of any simple (by simple, i mean 'economic' wise) PCI-E mobo, with its price so i can pursuit on it asap. i don't think i'll be able to decide for myself, i never look into this mobo scene before.

Download CPU Z http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Post the screenie here.....

I think yours could either be a Prescott(LGA 775, 90nm) CPU or a Northwood (s478 130nm) CPU.

Correct me if I am wrong guys....

If it is an LGA 775, then easy to get a PCIe mobo. We can recommend one for you.....

If it is 478, I doubt you can get a PCIe mobo for that though.....

if you need screens of other tabs then just tell.

Edit - Yup its a 478. Now what, New processor?? (yeah i know you all are probably laughing behind at me getting seriously pWned now)

oooohhh..... bad luck man..... I dont think there are any PCIe 478 mobos....

Just start a new thread so that more knowledgeable people will reply to it...

Start a thread like S478 PCIe mobo or something like that
