The x360 controller and the PC ones are the same except u get a driver CD..just download them from Microsoft's site
 
Went to Palika Bazzar a few days back.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (White) + Wireless Receiver = Rs 2150.00 @ Royal Palace.
 
What about techie's contact ??? he mentioned in the thread that he can get an import one for ~1300. I guess there's no issues if its box packed !!!

both r the same only thing with pc one is u get a driver cd (which any way u can download for free from site )
 
Just checked with the distris , they are quoting around 1800 for the wired and around 2600-2700 for the wireless , is this correct ?

I got mine for Rs.1350.00 from Palika Bazaar@Delhi, 2-3 weeks back

They seem be imported.. shopkeeper provides warranty for a couple of days for evaluation.

I have bought ~7-8 controller's from the same fellow for myself n frnds, all work flawlessly.
 
Finally the Rock has come back......Errr....sorry wrong dialogue.Finally got hold of the controller.:hap2:

Made a trip to Lamington road & got it for 1.6k & it's the Xbox Controller for Windows.Infact there is just one more stock left of the same controller in the shop.If someone is planning to go they can still get it for 1.6k.Let me know if you need the contact details.:)

Gaming time now.
 
Not really.It depends from shop to shop.Some people have got it for as low as 1.3k without warranty.I wonder how & from where have they got it.:S

Ok, updates:

My friend finally got back to me. Controllers @ 1870 per piece. (still to check shipping )

These will be official pieces WITH warranty unlike grey market cheaper stuff. Let me know if ppl are interested.

Prices are also prob up because of the dollar situation :( Just checked and most hardware including gfx, HDDs etc seem to be on the way up (I have seen distri price sheets :P)

Just tested the controller & it works perfectly fine.I have to admit with complete honesty that Microsoft has made the best packaging ever for this controller.It took me a long time to open it's outer hard plastic cover.It's well guarded.It's packaging truly ensures no tampering could be done with it.Opening it & repackaging is practically impossible.The USB tip is also coated with proper plastic wrap & has a 'Install software first' kind of green label attached to it.Now that's what I call packaging.:)

Is it with proper warranty? Check for an 'imported by' sticker on the back i guess. Please post and let us know :)
 
The guy that sold me gave a 2 day DOA warranty.That's it.I didn't care much about the warranty anyway.BTW it says imported by SES Technologies Ltd with a Vasai address.
 
Have a contact in SES . Lemme check with them . I had thought Redington was the official and only distri for XBOX hardware?
 
In any case how would one claim the warranty? When we say we buy it with warranty, how does the warranty process work out? Give the controller & get a new one? :S
