Yes Changing our local system time does matter. Coz if Server current time is 1:55pm and your system time is 1:53pm your countdown gets over 2 minutes late and there is nothing left for you other than the "Out Of Stock" message.
Understand that the timer / countdown by default is not working as per server time.
I have tried above mentioned example also on 26th Aug. I am sure about it.
Expose & report the moron
Request other members also to flag and report all such greedy threads...
Community forums are not for profit. If they want to do it for profit as per forum rules they should register themselves as dealers.
How many of these guys did it and how many MODS raised this issue???
I know this will follow with the MODS do it for free and from their busy life .... And I do agree with that but the point is this is all resulting in bad reputation for the forum....

I would like to repeat it over here again (I have a thread created on the sale ethics already. Link - https://www.techenclave.com/community/threads/healthy-market-sections.167914/), there is nothing wrong in selling something here for a profit. After all the seller is selling his item and as a buyer we still have the option to choose not to buy it from a seller quoting higher price like most of the people done here.
But there is a rule that the seller should possess the item that he is selling and so selling Mi3 was not accepted as a sale thread here and this will be continued on RedMi 1S as well.
Having said so we are all so proud that so many of us have come forward to help each other by transferring our pieces of these high demand mobiles for the price incurred to us and these kinda gestures make us a family called TEians. Let me take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped the fellow members here and I on a personal note do appreciate more of such unselfish ethical acts.
well, if anyone with a stable internet can spare about 10 minutes its very EASY to get the products in flash sale. In each Xiaomi sale I get 2+ phones and each time
I register for the phones from new flipkart accounts as there is no double IP check. there is no email verification so could use a dummy / temporary email account (like yopmail type to receive invoice)
As I keep my time synced with Internet time the server time and local time is hardly a problem. I just refresh a minute or two before to be extra sure
On my PC my weapon of choice is firefox and iMacros scripts. I use multiple instance of firefox (with different profile) and align the windows so that there is minimum mouse movement for clicking buy it now.
meanwhile my brother also readies few windows on his laptop. Also, stopping downloads helps a lot
This way some of the phones do get added to cart.

IE rocks for MI sale tbh..

not atleast in case of xiaomiI at least got the Buy now button...... Clicked & next message OOS,
had the same situation, buy now, clicked and by the time the page loaded said out of stock.

This system leaves a bad taste in your mouth though. With pre-orders, at least you know what's coming - either you can place an order or you can't. This is ebay-ish bidding without the excitement.
Also, if a TE member can get 4 orders through, albeit with a little preparation, imagine what black marketeers would be poaching.
Can't help but get the feeling that FK/Xiaomi is toying with consumers.
Of course, one can retort with - "Beggars can't be choosers", "You missed the bus, that's your problem" & the like. But I'm here because it sucks to not have enough moolah to walk in to a store & buy an LG G3!
