Graphic Cards zotac or Palit?

But the big question is which one ?

Palit with dual slot and beefier cooler and 3yrs warranty OR ZOTAC with stock cooler and 5yrs warranty ?

Me with same dilema.

Here is a Palit Sonic review, though its different from the card in debate it sports a similar cooler is clocked at 700/2000 MHz (Core/Memory) but doesn't OC further.

I want a card with good OC potential and good warranty too :D.

8800GT and 9800GT Card prices seems to be on higher side when one looks for indian warranty...9800 still for 9k+
 
But the thing is Palit is an established player too.

It gives you 3years of warranty .. and not many 9600GT owners would use it that long as you know **upgraditis strikes are becoming very frequent...so 5yrs of ZOTAC warranty is pretty much useless for potential buyers and to me its just a marketing gimmick.

Secondly the Palit has a better Cooler .. and is dual slot ...

Palit Pro's

Good Cooler

3 yrs warranty ..you wouldn't need more than that

Dual Slot Design

ZOTAC Pro's

5 years warranty ... unless you are some1 whose next upgrade will be in 2013 you don't need this much warranty.

ZOTAC con's

Single Slot Design

Default Cooler ..though its good ...the Palit cooler seems better.

Can some1 throw some light on Palit Card .. OC'ng ..temps etc

I am considering getting the Palit one ...removing the stock fan ..mounting a faster fan...something like this

Ppl kindly suggest me a fan and whether its worth the effort.

check out my earlier posts ive mentioned the palits temps...n with temps like that u can easily OC
 
Palit does look better with its cooler, and you will achieve those clocks on the Zotac in no time with that cooling, perhaps much higher, also the 3 yr warranty is good enough if they have a decent track record, your anyway not going to game on after 3yrs on that card, would you?

Go for the palit, just the cooling is good enough to warrant it!
 
last i heard the palit was for 7.2k..

and amarbir's post in the dealer section seems to be ambiguous on the zotac 96gt prices. his main post has been revised.. but it says 6.3k+shipping.. while a post by him IN the thread says 6.1k + shipping
 
Palit / Zotac / POV are available from Techshop.in for Rs6720 minus Rs186 for cheque and cash transfers.

There are also good EMI options for ~550 / month.
 
In that case, its Zotac without a doubt.... Lol I was just about to buy a EVGA for 6.5k in the mkt section :)

bt the difference is that the 6.7k one at techshop.in is wid 725MHz clock speed n the one priced 6.1k at lynx is wid 675MHz..

nt a huge difference though..

Dat's a misquote on Techshop. There is no model like that of Zotak, so get the one if u intend to from Amarbir.:) Both are the same models.
 
Rather get the Palit with a better cooler ... same price ....3yrs warranty .. i will prolly get one next month.
 
i actually wanna buy 2-3 cards this month end or mayb next month... bt not able to find any deal for 6-6.3k at lammy...nt for either zotc or palit.

lemme kno if u guyz get quotes like that in mumbai..the lease quote i got was 7.9k for palit (prime) on thursday :(
 
How much is the difference between Palit and Zotac?
Am thinking of going for the same
Though wud luv the 4850:)
 
Both Zotak and Palit have the same price for 9600GT whereas the Zotak come slightly overclocked compared to the Palit.:)
