I just bought the Orange San Francisco version and have following queries :

1. Are there any good gel/soft covers available for this set? I can't find anything even for XCD35. (I read someplace Nokia E72 covers fit so any ideas please?)

2. Mine is a gen2 and shows max RAM as 400 odd MB with free RAM usually 200+ MB. So that means I got the 512MB unlocked, right?

I'm on CM 7.1 stable and so far no major issues. Once the wifi acted up and I had to reset it to get the net access. Which is the most stable ROM for this phone?

Yes you have 512mb RAM

You won't find covers for this phone here. The Nokia one fits the best out of all available covers. Otherwise from eBay abroad you can get covers made for the Blade. I use a Nilkin one bought from eBay UK

I am planning to buy dell xcd 35 with main reason to do wifi hotspot. so just need few input as i never used android nor i know how to wifi hotspot and which software or version to use. looking for detailed answer if someone have used it or using
 
Looks like they've decided to stop building nightlies so they can focus on cm9 (not for the blade just yet though).

So what's a better, absolutely trouble-free option, the stable 7.1 release or one of the later nightlies?
 
Targetbsp's latest nightly build is said to be pretty good. I'm still on Sej's N257+ and totally happy with this ROM. Haven't found a single flaw in it and battery life (especially standby time) is outstanding.

you need not worry about softwares as the default one works fine but for more advanced users there are plenty of stuff there.

I have 2 friends facing the same problem with their blades as well. I have personally tried repartioning and reinstalling everything afresh on one of the phones. The problem still persists though. Im guessing its some sort of hardware thing.

Try out Blademix 360, from Modaco. Its a great rom. Extremely stable and excellent battery life.

I have my blade with with GSF ROM installed (not sure which version, installed it around July 2011). Lately i feel that there is lot of lag while operating the phone. What may be the cause of lag ?? Lots of apps installed ? I have the Go launcher EX.
I would not want to change the ROM as this phone is being used only for GPS navigation and everything is working fine so do not want to mess around with it.

Try wiping cache and dalvik cache in cwm.
 
Guys any other better choice for xcd35 than PL11(12ohm) under 1k

considering its low sound o/p

how is JVC Marshmallow(16 ohm) in comparison to PL11 with XCD35

i read somewhere that low impedances are better for low sound(power) o/p devices
 
I have used my PL11, EP630 and CX300 with my XCD35. None of them sound good. This phone is simply not made for music.

Have tried various players like Poweramp, Uber Music, Player Pro, Stock 2.2 player and Stock CM7 player. No luck in getting decent sound.
