guys please help me choose one of these.. their specifications sound quite similar and i already have an iphone 3g(Got kinda bored with it).
i will mainly use my phone for music, games(if i get bored while travelling or in a party) and photography. ya i do watch videos on it occasionally.
how is the sound quality on both of it? Please help me with your opinions..

God bless..

Its simple dear !!

If Apple is not opening their Apple Store in India & setup service center, I will not buy any iphone till then !!
(IDK what they are doing with their $100 billion cash reserve)

Price is also crucial, so why these Network providers in India don't provide good offers,
like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint & other providers are giving, on 3G plans(forget 4G).
Just look at price of 4S @ $199 :cursing:

that 199 is followed by fixed monthly pay of 79$ for 2 yrs.
if you do math.79 plus taxes make it around 90 per month.
that in to 24 months. equals 2160 $ over 2 yrs.

so cost of ownership over 2 yrs 2160 plus 199

Absolutely agree with you.
Even androids latest jellybean is crash happy.

My very simple opinion is this.

With android you are guinea pig for google and manufacturer.
Instead of using it , you spend more time fixing it.

Regrading siri,
If you see iOS 6 integration of siri with all major search engines except google , it's superb and surpasses a lot.

An for all android fans, fact of the matter is apple iOS products pay google far higher ad revenue than android.

And apple iPhone ,
You are not at least guinea pig and you can actually use it.

One example
Tethering.
My carrier is same with both android and apple.
Same sim card with iPhone , I am online within one minute.

Same sim card with android. Never could get online within minute

Why so ??

Can any android fanboy explain??

It's something stupid and stupid most implementation in android.
This shows that you've not used androids or you might be used basic devices... TBF, i want keep myself away from this thread, but i couldn't digest wrong information provided by the fanboys :( Who said android is crashy??????? come on man.. i'm using android from when HTC Legend launched.. i never had any such a problem.. do you think people will spend 30K for phone which crashes lot? apply logic before giving such comments.. why S3 sold so many? do you think its becas of having crashy OS?

Do you know how simple is the wifi hotspot(tethering) in HTC devices? Just one touch(widget) is enough.. in few seconds you will get wifi network.

My suggestion, please dont comment without knowing facts...

how often you have to flash customs rom's or custom made kernels?
just to get basic usability?

show me 3 yrs old phone which runs jellybean,
heck even nexus one cant get official ICS,

what you arguing over?

so much fragmentation.

and 3 yrs old iPhone 3GS can still update to iOS 6 when it comes out.

dear SMNrock,
I went from 4-5 androids before going to 4S.
i started with original samsung galaxy s then went to motorola atrix when i found galaxy lagging.
after atrix, I used nook color running rom's over micro sd card.
finally ended up with touchpad and now having one motorola photon to tinker around.
and i think I have used fair spectrum of android devices.

Wow! So tell me what basic functionality is missing from stock android? I'm all ears.
CM10 is in beta/preview.
You sir are an absolute weapon!

It's funny how you keep changing the topic when you have nothing to argue about!

their also on my 4S,
I can tether from my notification center.
one click .

Notification center that was copied from android. I thought you hate copycats!

So you started with Innovation-> commercialization -> Service Center -> Retina -> Siri -> Crashes -> Basic Functionality -> CM10

Pheww. You are a troll. You know I'm actually enjoying this. I might as well divert XDA crowd here to have a laugh!

emmmm...Never ...do you know if you install a stable version of CM it is STABLE (yeah what the name says) and way way way more functional than the slave making iOS
show me 3 yrs old phone which runs jellybean,
why ? what would that prove?
heck even nexus one cant get official ICS,
what is official? android users are smart enough to manage the hardware by using android community builds and not rely upon one single God Company which controls your life
what you arguing over?
What?
so much fragmentation.
How does that matter when you are comparing two phones? are you trying to say 1 apple phone = 45 k should be worse than the android phone which is for 10k
and 3 yrs old iPhone 3GS can still update to iOS 6 when it comes out.
and? who cares? you saw what iOS 6 can do? its very basic ...go to the previous pages and check the youtube video. .. what IOS 6 has and what basic android had since eternity

which is a preview if I am not wrong...does preview say STABLE? Does it mean that it is the final jellybean build?
so you are talking from your back ???
no comments. dont want to trade bad words as it will soon get out of hand

i dont know, why you people generalizing the device specific issues you faced as OS issue.. Even red dragon did the same.. whatever the issues he faced with his S2 is all becas of OS and whatever your atrix issue is because of OS? And you compare your atrix and galaxy S screen with your so called retina, then saying retina is best in the world.. nothing can beat..!!! And you were comparing devices(touchpad) which is not designed for android.. JOKE!!!

i am trying to show light to people who are blind.
facepalm.
end of story.
wasting my time in arguing with idiots.

So what made you think that we arguing with you are idiots and you are not?
You hardly replied to our queries and constantly shifted the argument from one topic to another and declaring others as idiots!
You are a real gem!:hail:

IOS vs Android. An eternal argument.

Facts be that Android is and will always be a 'copy'. Well made but still a copy. Google 'Eric Schmidt' to know more.

Updated friend's Nexus to JB and finally Android seems to get a knack of a smooth UI, something IOS figured out with IOS 1.0

My poor SII has been smothered by buggy ICS updates. In fact Samsung is in such a hurry to sell more and more SIII that they have not yet solved the emmc erase bug which can irrevocably brick your phone, if you flash a nandroid backup. CM9 still has the occasional bug as devs have found a new toy to play with..JB? What do I do, flash a 4.03 ROM which has huge, ugly notifications..? And in the form of Indian firmware has messed up bluetooth and wifi.

And yes, I had to get the display of the S II replaced as AMOLED does not take bright wallpaers to well, so my statusbar had burnt in, the screen edges had smudges. Solution, use a dark preferably black wallpaper. So they say...

On the other hand my trusty iphone4 will get the ios6 upgrade, still works in the exact same fashion as it did when it came with ios4. No lag, everything works just the way it should. The screen is still fantastic...

And I am still looking for the tutorial to 'develop' an Android ROM.

This is best answer for all android fan boys and their whines.
Thanks mate for putting your experience.
Really appreciate.

And great android fanboys continue to remain guinea pigs at hands of google and manufacturers.
Keep it up guys.
Be nice guinea pigs to your masters google and Samsung.
Best luck.

Copy? Please read the thread and you will come to know who has copied what. How many times it has to be explained.
iOS 1.0 also didnt not have copy paste which they did in iOS 3.0. Whereas Android preferred to have basic functionality rather than smoothness, I am happy that they did this way.
iOS 1.0 didnt have so many things which Android has from day 1. So, stop talking alone about smoothness.

The bug which you are talking about is related to people who love to flash custom ROM's. It does not effect common people who are on stock. And for those who are developers/flasher, they have alternate of avoiding any brick. I am doing it and know how to do it.
I too have SII and never faced issue you have mentioned.
Your trusty iPhone4 will get ios6 because apple has to support only 5-6 phones. On the other hand, Android is deployed on more than 100 types of phone and the beauty is that it can be deployed on so many different kind of devices!
Lag? Are you talking about sub 10k phones here?
My Android phone does not lag.
Tutorial, so you mean to say that someone would write a simple tutorial for you so that you became a developers and in its absence, no one can develop ROM?

While I don't agree about copy thing, as a consumer I don't give a shit about it. There are enough evidences to prove iPhone is also a copied product.
And again you are wrong. You cannot compare Apple's updates with Samsung's. Compare them with Google's. Google is providing JB update to older Nexus S.
They support Nexus devices for years.

And you should know that GB->ICS->JB are big changes. Not every device is gonna be compatible. Apple has to worry about only couple of devices.
And my friends iPhones become painfully slow once they jailbreak it. I wonder why they jailbreak this awesome, complete phone!
And talking about issues in GS2, I own GS2 as well as Nexus. I have never had any issue with my
