iPhone 4s vs Samsung Galaxy S3

guys please help me choose one of these.. their specifications sound quite similar and i already have an iphone 3g(Got kinda bored with it).
i will mainly use my phone for music, games(if i get bored while travelling or in a party) and photography. ya i do watch videos on it occasionally.
how is the sound quality on both of it? Please help me with your opinions..

If Apple directly sells iphones in India,they will definitely reduce the absurd price from what Failtel and Aircel
are trying to sell.
Regarding Apple's warranty,for Macs, it has improved a lot at least in Kolkata(imagine store still sucks!but Macintel is good!)but for iphones it is still patchy at best.
In my city,you are in the hands of those shady private telcos once your iphone officially brought from India is screwed up!
And getting a replacement for iphone is not at all easy in India.Some one mentioned accidental cover,I can assure everyone,there is no Applecare plus available for India!
Comparatively Samsung provides much better ASS for their flagship phones.
I always prefer iphone over GS3 but in India service for iphone thoroughly sucks!And those Telcos are fully responsible,not Apple!!

2. Anyways, Apple do have their stores in India, in case you are not aware. And on the same lines, Nokia too have their shops. I dont know from where you got this information that since FDI is not allowed, so they cant open the stores.
The FDI in retail sector is completely different and it talks about multi brand retail shops like Big Bazaar, etc.
I think you need to read a bit. Suggestion only.

3. People buy the phone of their choice, the seller cannot ask the buyer to purchase 10 phone instead of 1.
So whats the point of flooding the market? Does it makes it sell more?

4. Copycat, so you believe poor Apple is innovating and Samsung is copying it and selling in the market? Poor Apple. My heart goes to Apple.

Apple does not have stores in India, Imagine is the main reseller & not Apple (read the news). And Yep, samsung is a copycat (though it doesn't effect the consumer in any way).

It's their in market for two yrs, why nobody can bring it in his own products ??

Why nobody has still matched up to quality ??

1. Why you are baffled? You mixed the both things in one sentence! What I need to read about FDI, please enlighten me If I had quoted the wrong information.
2. Who is saying that Apple should reduce price? You only told that prices can be brought down and I replied.
3. iPhone is not the only phone in market which has the quality. There are other phones too.

Its costs 42K at Aircel, plus you get 1 years free calling and 2G (2GB Per Month) + 3G (200MB Per Month) + Unlimited SMS + Free 1.5GB (Per Month) Aircel Public WiFi with that. All these goodies come to at least 7K per Annum (Which effectively makes the phone cost 35K).

So if you are willing to shell out 42K in one go then you get a sweet bundle of Hardware, Warranty & Addon Services. Not to mention iPhone commands a way superior resale that any other Android device.



You really think these companies give a dead rats ass about what you'd demand or what you think. These companies are governed by their company policy+service & that SUCKS.

Aircel who? If contract system start in India Android phone would be even cheaper! FYI, I got 1 GB free per month for six month with my GS2. Vodafone had that offer. I bought my GS2 from Reliance Digistore, I put my 6 year old Vodafone sim in it and voila I got free 1GB/month 3G for 6 months. Same offer was there for Idea customers. My brother has an Idea sim. No contract, nothing plus better and reliable carrier. Now should I reduce the cost of the 3G plans from my phone cost?

FYI, "retina display" is not an scientific term, it's a marketing term. So it cannot be an invention. Apple do not produce these displays. Samsung used to provide processor and display for iPhones. Retina display is just a screen with high resolution which existed way before. It's just that Apple put it in a phone first with the help of Samsung.

Tomorrow if someone put toaster in a phone it won't be called an invention!

all apple iPhones sold here in india are unlocked and absolutely no lock in with carriers.

apple store is one point where all your servicing sells,product demo's and all what not to do with apple product is done.

again you are mistaken.

apple did succesfully mobilised and commercialised the retina display. it has nothing to do with samsung.
all those shiny new retina displays are made by LG phillips.

1. Display of One X, S3 are equivalent good.
2. Google Now is much better than Siri.
3. Whats unique in camera ? One X and S3 have better cameras.
4. Super clean? The whole userspace is clutter with icons and you are saying it super clean? Android does not crashes. I hope you are not talking about GB here on sub 15k phones.

Please go through the youtube links posted on previous page. Will clear your doubt about simpleness of iOS and Android.

Flashing nightly is not compulsive, a stock ROM is much more efficient to do what iOS can do.

And let me tell you one more thing, as a consumer if the copied product is better (for me), I would rather buy the copycat product.
