gadget shieldz usually becomes yellow after 2 months or so, if you have a blue phone, go ahead you wont be able to notice it. If you have a white phone, stay away.. get xtremeguard instead. they are almost the same but have better protection against yellowing out, the same goes with spigen flex hd and zagg
 
Kies probably is the most champu software out there ! It took close to 4 hours to download latest firmware and when phone booted to download mode, it got stuck at connecting screen :cursing: ... Now starting all over again !

Are you sure? I just bought one for my white Galaxy Nexus, but haven't applied it yet. If that's true then I won't use it. I don't wanna ruin my uber sexy white phone.
 
I have a white s3 and I have purchased gadget shieldz from eBay but I have not applied it so it's not god to apply gadget shield on my cellphone.

if you take extreme care, it may last for a year max. otherwise it'll be easily get yellowed out. i had the Gadgetshieldz on my ipod for about 9 months. here's a pic of it's condition. it was maintained extremely well, i had a black one. imagine how it'd look on a white one

Hmmmm. Well I take good care of my things. But looking at the pic, it may be a dirt magnet of sorts.
Anyways, at first I thought you meant that a white phone might get yellowed due to the sticky substance after peeling it off. :p Now I realize you meant the protective shield itself will get yellow.
 
ya, i meant the shield.this was lying around for a month or so, since i peeled it off. hence the dust particles. but you can easily see the yellow shade. i'll post a pic of the back of my i9000 it's been on for 2 and half years, i'll post a pic once i remove it this week

Xtremeguard and GadgetShieldz, both use exactly the same film. :lol::lol: At least that's what I saw when I kept them both near to each other. The back plasic, the film, everything was the same.

I have seen the yellowing issue in all the films, the worst is in Clear-Coat and zagg. I had used GadgetShieldz on my iPod Touch 2G and it did not yellow in around 2 years.

But hey, the film yellows, not the device. I had once emailed zagg about the yellowing issue and they said it depends on the amount of UV present in your climatic conditions and also oil and dirt entering the film. Must be some marketing crap.

So order anything, its going to yellow on white devices. But I just love the way gadgetshieldz is cut. Covers a lot more areas than xtremeguard anytime. And may be Gadgetshieldz is still the cheapest option. Although YMMV.

nope, the thickness varies. actually gadgetshieldz is more smooth whereas xtremeguard feels way rubbery, and also i'm not saying it xtremeguard and sgp dont yellow out, i'm just saying it has better resistance. and ya, as for as the price goes, gadgetshieldz will be the cheapest unless you use a coupon to get it from xtremeguard.com itself, i got 3Xfull body for s3 for just 448 inclusive of shipping from the US during their independence day promo with 80% off :yahoo:

i had contacted their customer service about the same and they told me that they would replace the film free of cost if it become yellowish

i'm still using the ultra nano clear, once this gets scratched. i might be giving the flex a try

High recommended NOT to purchase it

Few more observation incoming and out going gui has changed..

Battery charging has improved quite noticeable in my case

i just tested a few songs with a friend's s3 who's running a custom rom and i was shocked. The audio quality is piss poor...its the worst i have ever heard on any phone..half of the frequencies in the music are missing....now i am not sure if its because of the custom rom(audio drivers missing in the rom?? ) or the chip on the s3 is that bad... can anyone confirm. kindly compare it with any other back up phone you have and not with a dedicated audio player since an audio player will definitely sound better any day

just to add, even my back up 3k nokia phone sounds much much better on the same songs with the same iem

now i am not using some crappy earphones ... using a pair of sound magic e10's which are one among the best in the 2k price

waiting for responses eagerly
