The Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus Thread.

meet6600 why don't u threaten him that you will leave a negative feedback. He has a 100% score, one negative score can scare him.

I already have raised a claim with eBay so waiting for that. Would Leaving a negative feedback would speed things up?

Hey Guys Please let me know what should I do next? Should I threaten the seller now or wait for eBay to look into the matter?

Leaving a negative feedback for the seller won't help your situation
Wait for what eBay has to say and then take appropriate action

No, don't leave him a negative feedback right now, just threaten him.

I had a similar experience where the seller lied to me that the shipment was damaged and blah blah, he pleaded to me not to give him a negative feedback which i agreed upon courtesy basis :p

Hi Guys,

Just got a call from eBay. They stated that I get it repaired or ask Serv Pro for Replacement. Explained them clearly what was the case and why Serv Pro won't replace the phone they hang up stating they would contact the seller. Would threaten the Seller today and see what happens.

Let's see how long my bad luck keeps me hurt! :)

Yash Bhai, I have a simple Noob Question for you. Do I need to have a wifi connection ON to update my Nexus from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2. Because I have checked for an update with my 3G DATA ON and it did display me information about 4.1.2 update. But now my device shows "waiting for download". The installation bar is not progressing and I donot have a wifi connection. This is my problem from my few days and my device is working without any issues. Is there any other way to update without wifi ON?

Update:Just now replced my BSNL sim with airtel. The Update is finally downloaded and updated to 4.1.2.

Hey guys just wanted to know how to backup the official stock JB. Nandroid is one of the ways but i think it will be done when i root my device (correct me if i am wrong). I am rooting my GNex for the first time for custom roms but just want the backup of offical stock JB just in case i face any issue with custom rom i can restore to my official stock JB. Help me guys !!

I am planning to buy the Galaxy Nexus if there is a price cut and it costs ~$300 or lower from the USA play store via my relative.
I presumed that there might be a price cut once the Nexus 4 is released and google wouldn't stop selling GNex immediately.
Is there any hardware issues that I should be worried about? Because there would be no warranty cover for it in India and don't want to buy it if it suffers from a wide spread h/w fault.
GNex users please chip in regarding any hardware issues you have faced till now. Also has anyone been able to repair any minor faults in India by paid service from local dealers?

I too want to buy a Nexus, and I thought of buying it on Diwali. But since nexus 4 is releasing in India I think I should wait. What according to you guys should be the price of 8gb,16gb versions.

I just bought myself a SIII. It's time to switch to a different thread I guess :D

My Nexus will be up on market soon :)

8GB should be in the 32-33k range and 16 GB should be 35K range. This is in reference to their European pricing, and LG's prices in India. The 8 Gb is an absolute waste, dunno who was the bright guy in Google who thought lets have a 8GB phone with HD screen, and leave out the micro SD slot

Nexus 4 is going to be fail. I dunno why but I feel Google is acting like foolish. Why create such a low storage device? A larger memory chip won't cost you a bomb.

^ It's done in order to promote their 'cloud services'. Pure hogwash, I say. One one hand Nexus devices are super desirable because of their timely updates and insane dev support, but on the other hand Google severely cripples them with fixed storage which is something I absolutely hate about Apple. My S2 has 16GB internal memory and I feel it's not enough, especially because of the humongous 1080p videos it shoots and the constant titanium/nandroid backups that I keep making.

Nexus 4 coming to Asia including India beginning end of November | AndroidOS.in

Based on the above pricing mentioned by Google and the statement from LG, 8GB should cost around 16000.Rs and 16GB around 19000.Rs. In India It will be sold offline, unlike in US,UK etc., where it will be sold by Google directly ONLINE.

At that price point this will sell like hot cakes. The 8GB memory is not an issue, cause most users are just buying the phone for basic features, and decent looking phone and play angry birds or temple run at the most. This phone with good specs at that price point will definitely be a hit.

Nexus devices are not geared towards indian markets because of the lack of cloud services and the internet resources ,but still 16 gb should be enough for an average joe like me excluding multimedia buffs. On my galaxy nexus i find 16 gb memory space to be ok for day to day uses, but finally Nexus 4 will be the first device from the nexus family to come to india. I hope for some decent price though
