Any reviews of PPOBox.com or iShopInternational?

I'm thinking of ordering a phone from the US via these websites. I checked the quotes and here's what they're saying it'd cost for a $350 phone to be shipped to india:

iShopInternational:
Int'l ShippingRS. 504.00
Duty, Taxes & feesRS. 1,628.03

PPOBox
Estimated Int'l Shipping & handlingRS. 806.40
Estimated Duty, Taxes & feesRS. 493.13

So before going ahead with it I just wanted to be assured whether they're reliable or not. Are the quotes reliable? And how's the service in general?

Use the coupon given in the SNS page(keeps changing) to open an account for $10. It will be worth the money!
Hmm they're quoting 10USD as shipping charges. Plus the 10USD for the account. They're not mentioning the customs/duties etc. though.

Why do you say it'll be worth the money? Is it that much better than all these other services?

First of do not use any address with ppobox mention in address as Google will cancel your order from personal experience...go with hopshopgo or theamericanbazzar

Google didn't cancel it UPS cancelled it, because they confused PPOBox with POBox. They've removed 'PPOBox' from their address nonetheless, now it's something else.

Yep I'm ordering via hopshopgo/comgateway. They seem to be the cheapest considering there are no taxes on the phone in Oregon.

All experiences that me and my friends had have been good. The $10 upfront charge is lifetime membership so from the second shipment onwards you will save a lot of money because their shipping charges are one of the lowest. Also their recently launched insurance is good. Its free insurance uptil $100 and a dollar for every $100 after that. My friend has ordered a poster which came crumpled and they refunded the cost of the poster plus the shipping charges.

You need to send them your invoice of the item and the customs duty will be charged accordingly. I paid around 2 percent for phones i got through them. Not overcharged even a single time!

long live aramex :p

You have a better experience with Aramex with regards to duties? I don't want to pay 1k+ duty when it's not more than 4% i.e. around Rs 750.

I see. How do they handle customs and duties? Have the charges been reasonable?

Try to get quote from SnS also.

SnS does not give a guaranteed quote ever. They just use the duty percentage and give an approx amount which you can do it yourself. And finally when the shipment reaches India, duty amount will be totally different. (well, not always, but it does happen)

So the duty charges shouldn't be different depending on the shipping service, be it Aramex, FedEx or anything else. If that's the case then I guess I'll stick to comgateway, they're saving me 26USD as taxes...

Ideally it shouldn't be different, but it does vary, depending the customs officer etc etc.

With ICC PPO, the duty is guaranteed as they clear it in bulk through an agent.
