Prime is definitely better...difference between the price would be roughly around 50-60 bucks

@Nirmallya Addy You will have to contact your local cable operators and check with them.Cause it all depends on the cable operators.
Try calling alliance,they might give you the no. of someone who provides service in your location!

that doesn't have to do anything with the contention ratio...
the difference is because of bits and bytes!!
kbps=kilobits per second
kBps=kiloBytes per second
since 1 Byte = 8 bits so 700kbps = 87kBps
contention ratio defines the number of users who can/may share the allotted internet bandwidth,so in a 1mbps connection and 1:10 contention ratio is all the 10 users are simultaneously downloading something then they will effective get 100kbps only(speed gets divided among them),though the probability of that happening is extremely low.

Well do u get good speed in all rooms where u find signal, or does the speed reduces as u move away, though there was some signal being receivedoh,but still, you could try your luck you know...maybe when they are in a good mood!
