Dont have much idea about any dongle which works with Jio. There is a WiFi dongle from Jio cost approx 2.8k with 3 months unlimited data.Suggest any dongle which will work with Jio sim..

Got Jio SIM from Reliance Digital store, near Masterda Surya Sen Metro Station(Bansdroni), Kolkata.
They did not ask for Samsung handset to be shown for verification. They just wanted a printout of the preview code.
Got the code from a colleague's Samsung J7.
I asked the guys present in the store. The younger guy told me that we cannot get SIM without invite code. The older guy told me that they will give SIM to anyone having any 4G set. Those living nearby, try your luck and see if you can get a SIM without the invite code.
Went to the store in the afternoon and so did not have to wait for too long. There were 3 people in line before me. By the time I left, another 2 people had come for the SIM.
Jio guys were pretty efficient. They were getting ID cards photocopied at no extra cost in case the one brought by customer was not proper. Remember your PAN card number. It has to be entered in the main CAF itself(strange requirement. It should be required for Jio Money form only). They sent back a person as he did not bring his PAN card, nor could he remember his PAN card no. I could remember mine and so I was saved (forgot to take my PAN Card with me)

Just now checked. Mine Huawei e8231 supports 4g band.

Its not about 4G it should support 4g band that Jio uses. Also APN is pretty easy for Jio. Its just JIONET for APN.
Got a Jio Sim today, though they did ask about Samsung - they're giving it to everyone who carries a 4G mobile.
Printout, Coupon etc only useful for avoiding the Que. Try another outlets if your local reliance store denies.

Need details about the exact shop in Hyderabad. I heard Rel digital/Xpress in kothapet is giving for sure.

Yeah, A friend visited Reliance Digital locally (Agra) they gave him a token (#57) he was @ the store for almost 2 hours just for the Simcard.
But why the queue? Its not exactly free. You either need to pay 2800/- for the Jio-Fi or possess a eligible Samsung phone for the free sim...
Or now is the offer extended to any samsung phone?
If that is the case. The objection raised by other cellular operators is valid. JIO is launching full commercial operations under the disguise of trials. We dont know what is the deal decided between Samsung and JIO. If Samsung is paying JIO then I guess its blatant cheating. and the other operators will follow this up with TRAI or who ever is the authority.

Should be any where from 15 mins to 3 hours, Once u get the activation message put your sim in the phone and activate it by dialing 1977.
Its available now for almost every 4G phone, Some stores may deny for phone apart from Samsung and Lg but some will don't ask for it.
Many stores are giving Sim cards if you have/ can borrow any 4G phone. No code required. Basically, any one can walk and take a sim card though your experience may vary from store to store.

You will get an SMS from Reliance first.
1) Welcome to Reliance Jio
2) Your sim is ready for tele verification.
Once you get the above 2 msg you can put the sim and dial 1977 from Jiojon.
But if anyone can get a sim for free whats the point of calling it a trial?? And isnt it foul on other operators that their networks are getting worked up due to free calls originating from the JIO network?
JIO to JIO shd be fine as its VoLTE.
Do the new free SIM cards(being given without offer codes) also have the Preview data offer of 90days??
