Health & Fitness Corona is in full swing and its not Joke !

Look at this once:https://www.newindianexpress.com/st...a-in-andhra-pradesh-for-recovery-2304545.html
My wife is saying some 2400 ambulances and some 30k people are in waiting Q outside that mans herbal hospital.
Even ICMR is coming on Saturday to take the samples and TTD(Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Herbal Hospital from Tirupati arrived today to take samples given to some 5k patients and categorise the data and give it to ICMR.
I hail from that District but now in Hyderabad and might go next month and take the medicine myself and inform you here.

Thanks for all the support. It hopefully will remain a minor disease.
Just fever ( 101 at most) and some sore throat ( which I've taken care of with something that's completely out of all recommendations, but it worked, coughed all night due to sore throat..now it's magically gone)
But this has rendered me completely useless...can't see patients, can't go out. If I failed to reply any of your messages, I'm really sorry. Really grateful for all your words of support.
I will of course reply to every medical queries to the best of my abilities as usual.

Do you think there could be any truth to this?
I am medically illiterate to discuss about the cure, but in a widely circulated video a person who was in respiratory distress recovers minutes after being administered the medicine. Breathlessness in COVID is caused by lung damage & inflammation, so such recovery defies all logic, the human body is incapable of repairing damage so fast.

I know nothing about herbs and Ayurveda but tried to read some textbooks couple of months back.
It was impossible for me to understand certain basic principles ( possibly due to my lack of open mind, as I'm trained in modern medicine) and gave up.
The entire concept is so different, but it must be my lack of IQ that I found the very basics of physiology is wrong, anatomy extremely limited.
But one thing for sure, there's very little study on safety..there are modern medicines which can COMPLETELY suppress all symptoms of early disease. But those are dangerous medicines and shouldn't be given ( and not given)
I sincerely hope this is not like that.

@red dragon

Totally common man here in these aspects.
But, as a person whose family member was saved solely because of Ayurveda, I've deep respects for it (but not blind, irrational and blackmagic quackery kind). It worked for thousands of years when Allopathic medicine were not available to common man.

Have similar respect for treatments like

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200728113545.htm

Don't think Ayurveda should be studied as concept written in several century old books. And have no interest what-so-ever in blindly following it and moronic people around who spread lot of negativity for Ayurveda because they have vested interests.
Same disinterest against so called pro scientific chronic haters against Ayurveda. These days, taking a balanced stance will be mocked at unfortunately by those who are hooked to extreme view points. According to them, when Ayurvedic compound selected from old books, is properly studied, isolated the root compound, then all credit goes to Allopathic medicine ! That is disingenuous in my conscience.

Have difficulty in understanding and accepting what is happening in Andhra Pradesh's Bonigi Anandaiah case. Hope authorities does some proper studies and alert people.

Similar thing happened in south during severe Dengue spread, people there traditionally used tender leaves of Pappaya in rice grail which used to help them. It allegedly helps in Dengue to increase platelets. Called out as pseudo science, some experts were later okay with it, still don't know the reality. Edit:

India misses a lot because of pseudo science, they should properly do analysis and research on ayurvedic herbs and compounds which could've helped people. Speaking of that, they had such interests from ages of 'Hortus Malabaricus'. Foreign companies are already doing lot of research on this, being sold as medicines (Brucine, Strychnine, etc. comes to mind) 'health supplement', nootropic, what not. There are companies in India who supply herbs in bulk to such foreign entities. Ironically, they use such herbs /extracts, but have no qualms to shit on traditional medicine or even Indians too.

Mate, hope I didn't sound disrespectful to Ayurveda in my last post. If I did, my sincere apologies.
I only stated that I made an honest attempt to learn at least some basic concepts and failed miserably.

Not at all disrespectful. My English is amateurish at the best, so you have to forgive me on that :)

Generally believe that people don't have to 'walk on egg shells' just to state their honest opinions, even if they were wrong.
They can also be corrected in the same discourse, so why take so much mental pressure on situations which does not actually demand it.

Same here..mine has undergone disuse atrophy.
Some people just joined in this forum has started following me, should I be worried? Don't want another twitter like thing happen again.

I'm one of those guys who drank Papaya leaf extract when I had dengue because I was asked to by family, and by those who had recovered from it. As much as I hated drinking it.
People from TN here might be aware of this, but right from last year my family members have been suggesting taking "Kabasura Kudineer", a Siddha medicine - not as a cure, but probably for prevention. I haven't because I hate the taste of it again, but yeah.
And looks like the demand for it is high again after what's happening in Andhra.

Don't want to hide behind anonymity ( even the terrible profile photo is mine) As I am not spreading any rumours and ready to take on any "bhakt expert" on covid 19 and vaccines.
But most of these "experts" are not interested in a decent logical discussion, they are more interested in my private life, attacking my partner ( who's not even from India and never made a single remark online about India)
Just yesterday she received a lot of objectionable DMs in Twitter)

@roofrider
Many Ayurvedic concoctions are not only bitter, but tastes so weird that you get involuntary reflex feelings from the bottom of your guts even if you are mentally prepared to drink those.

Haven't heard of 'Kabasura Kudineer' until an acquaintance of mine from Odhisa requested for that in peak of 2nd wave, which I arranged for him.
Sitting on his table unused for a month :)

@red dragon

The kind of people you are addressing are not interested in truth, they are only interested in trivia agreeing with their narrow view points even if those are prejudiced.

If you are trying to bring rationality or logic to them, be ready for dirty discourse aka wrestling with pigs as some political leader stated about it.
Unless you have backing from their matching opponents, you are going to be on the rough road.

Its only the middle class and the poor who lost money, time and lives during Demon.

I know several fairly well off people who run these kharkhana type businesses and employ several hundreds of workers who were basically paid off their old salaries and the next several month salaries in the demonéd currency notes. I am pretty sure, there are a ton of folks here itself who know of such cases. Back then, there were even rumors that several businessmen connected to the Cult had advance warning about the move and had made the necessary provisions.
This happens almost always.

Haha, thinking of Papaya extract still gives me the trembles. It's not bad, just hard to drink. Apparently, this Kudineer isn't as bad, but I'm not going to fall for their tricks... yet.

Any time I have a random cough I'll hear a distant voice from the other room go: "You are going to drink that (Kabasura) concoction tomorrow morning."
And so, now I try to hide my coughs -___-

Tbh, my cousin is more into all this and has an alternative home (ayur/siddha) remedy for many problems. I have no idea if it actually works so I don't get involved.
On a couple of instances, a few months back, my dad took the trouble of finding some difficult to procure homeopathy tablets. Those tiny ones. I know they ain't gonna do anything, but no harm in taking as well. I mainly didn't want to argue and prove to him it won't work, especially in trying times like this when they believe it might help.

@roofrider

Some Homeopathy tablets have lot of sugar in them which can effect diabetic. Also, studying about the actual /side effect of some compounds in those will be interesting.

India desparately needs an equally strong opposition party as the ruling one.
Unfortunately, it seems Rahul is not the one. Congress have to reinvent themselves and are doing a huge disservice to the country portraying Rahul.
Needs strong regional parties with interest in protecting their state's interests and who can work together as opposition on national level.

This is a once in a lifetime pandemic and lets hope none of us or our future generations have to see another. That being said, there aren't any rules or regulations or guidelines that can help us navigate through these troubles times.

The supreme bungler could have done a lot of things that would seem as common sense to most of us. Banning the kumbh and the election rallies would seem the biggest of them. Ensuring the state/ central agencies stand behind the pharma industry ready with funding (not loans) so they can expand their production capabilities would have been another. Placing massive orders of the vaccine way back before the second wave hit would be another.

Now i am not a congress supporter, IMO all political parties are guests at the same table, doing the same things. Personally, I feel rather than a central supremo, who does not have any advisors other than yes men, a coalition would have been better equipped to handle the pandemic. Each member would have concentrated on their individual turfs rather than trying to destabilize governments and do political drama and event management. A gang of thieves backed by people of intelligence and training would have been better than a massive larger than life public figure who's history is suspect.

Unfortunately, what we need in this country is a strong opposition. One that does not fear questioning the Powers-The-Be. One that does not allow for the wholesale degradation and saffronisation of the social fabric and important agencies. That we don't have.

Yeah it was just a 4-day thing. No idea what's actually in those.
I just remember watching some Discovery channel video many many years back where they took a truckload of homeo sleeping pills. But no sleep.
Now I recall my mom consulting with Dr. Batra's for her asthma problem decades back. But those were pre-internet days so didn't know all that much about homeo and if it actually worked
