For me its the Nvidia GT 630m and no other GPU even comes close to the time I spent on that shitty little GPU. I gamed on it for 4 years during my college life, which were also the days where I had most time to game and during all those years I wished I had a better GPU/PC.
Fast forward to today, I just sold a 3080 which I had for 3 month and didn't game on it a single day (mined on it from the sec I got it to the moment I sold it) . After I sold it I remembered the old days where I would have given my left nut just for a chance to game on a top of the line GPU and it made me sad. Hopefully I would use this money to buy a high end 4000 series GPU and actually game on it.

Anyway as the title says which is your most used GPU?

P.S. I still have that laptop with 630m and it still works.

It's a tie for me, two years with a TNT2 Ultra and then two more years with a Geforce 3 Ti 500. Those were the years where I'd sit down with a game and get up two weeks later, not realizing that two weeks had passed. Ended up missing about half a semester one of those times. Fond memories, no ragrets.

I've never had that kind of 'free' time since then, but now I'm hyping myself for a resurgence for the second half of this year. There's a few remasters I want to play like Abe's Oddysee, and C&C!

Otherwise, I'm usually able to schedule in half an hour of either gaming or watch someone else game every week.

I didn't even know what this was, had to google it.
That (TNT2 Ultra 32 MB) was my first proper dGPU too.
Also means I'm old!!!

I had a 7970 Radeon in my system for 6years, but probably gamed more on integrated graphics (probably an SiS chipset one on my p3-866, or the excellent RadeonXpress 200 chipset of my socket 939 Athlon64)

Have owned GeForce 7900GTX, Radeon HD4870, Radeon HD7970, and GTX 970 (encumbent; old HW, but current rig) since, but never had the free time like in college days and integrated graphics.

Nvidia 8600 GT 512mb, 13 years ago. Was a used card purchase for ₹ 3500. I was a junkie for gaming but no budget. At the end overclocked the hell out of it by volt modding. Had to rub graphite from pencil tip on a specific resistor. After a few weeks there was a mountain of graphite powder on that resistor. Overclocked the card from stock 540mhz to 940mhz. Was in the 4th worldwide position on hwbot for 8600gt with a measly core 2 duo e7200.

Same here, 32MB back then was the 3080 of today, I feel. Most onboards were like 11MB.

My GPU Journey

Riva TNT2 > Geforce 4 > NV 5700LE > NV 7800 GS > AMD 6870 > 2x AMD 6870 CF > NV 770 > NV 1080 > NV 1080Ti

Wow o_O, approx years of usage on each would be appreciated.

GTX 9800 I remember that i had to cry really big tears in front of my dad because the shopkeeper gave xfx Mobo with integrated 8800 gt.

1050Ti all the way, my first laptop had it and due to the current gpu situation the PC i built also has it. Must say its a nifty little thing that can accomplish a lot with very little

My GPU history is as below

Intel 915 onboard - i even played oblivion on it with special hack. God, how did i do that I have no idea. That onboard is below the minimum requirements. :)

NVIDIA 7025 - it was part of the nvidia onboard chipset nforce 630a or something like that.

NVIDIA 9800 GTX+ - THIS WAS THE FIRST PROPER VIDEO CARD that I had and i played the crap out of it. It was a massive card of its time. It was one of rare cards of those times which used to occupy 2 slots while majority of other cards were single slot. Also the first card was a DOA and that was the first and last time I have ever faced such a weird issue. This card failed 2 times within the warranty period and each time I was given a brand new replacement card. Lol. XFX was really good with this one.

AMD 4850 - This was just a card for the time the above mentioned card was doing RMA.

NVIDIA 560 Ti - Again this card was great of its time and i used it extensively. This was the time when I had just joined office and had quite a busy schedule. But still i used to make time for gaming. Had this card for the longest time. Until WITCHER 3 launched and this card was too weak to to run it. Somehow the card died during its last warranty month and i had to RMA it. MSI took their sweet time of about one month but they replaced it with a new one. I sold that replacement on ebay for a fair amount. I wish Ebay was here. Had some really good days on ebay.

Nvidia 1060 3 GB - This card was bought for WITCHER 3 and boy did the game and card make a great combo. I also played some other games on it. But the most memorable ones are Witcher 3, Mass effect series, and tomb raider.

Nvidia 1060 6 GB - Sold my 1060 3gb and got the full 6GB version during the golden times of GPU. I fondly remeber selling my card and getting 6 GB version for mere 3k extra. It lasted me a long long time. As I learnt as to how to keep your computer parts happy. Lol. Heat is the no 1 killer and replacing the thermal compound once a year does wonder to CPU and GPU. But a sudden power surge and that wonderful card died in sep 2021. Worst time for a GPU failure.

Nvidia 1650S - Paid a hefty premium for this card. And under normal scenario i would not even bother with such a card. But beggers can't be choosers. So took the plunge and got this one from one of my known shopkeeper. Presently using this card. But unfortunately not so much gaming on it. I rarely even use it. As during my GPU search times between sep 21 to dec 21 I could not find a single decent offer and shifted to console gaming. And they are pretty decent. PC gaming has become exorbitantly expensive these days.
