INGRAM covers that as well - it's like they actually have someone smart to foresee such issues. Literally the first reason in the list.
That's good to know. However, do keep in mind that INGRAM has no "regulatory" or "legal" powers. They are more like a govt appointed intermediary & it is mentioned on INGRAM site itself that if not satisfied with resolution then consumer court is the only option left. INGRAM also doesn't consider any complaint for which proceedings are underway in any consumer court. I have seen cases where INGRAM resolution was not in favour of consumer & a note was added to final resolution that if still not satisfied with resolution then consumer may approach consumer court.
I won't trust FK for any "good" pc component deals for sure unless it is a processor with open box delivery or some recently launched pc component which I know for sure cannot be more than 6-7 months old. It is though true that I had to unnecessarily suffer because of flipkart's fault for which now I am thinking of asking for appropriate compensation as another of my product is also in same situation with reply awaited from manufacturer regarding warranty on 2 years old product. For that I will definitely ask for compensation as I missed getting B550M Pro4 for 9200 from mdcomputers because of the flipkart deal & now it is out of stock everywhere & the next option in my list cost around 11.5k currently.

Tell your friend to not accept the package before seeing the mfg/import date on sticker on the zotac box & if it is 1 year or older date (mfg/import date sep 2023 or earlier) then reject the package because zotac will not consider warranty from purchase date if difference between purchase date & import/mfg date is 1 year or more & instead warranty will start from import date so practically 2 years of warranty. Also, your friend won't get 2 years extended warranty either because for that the condition is that difference between purchase invoice date &import date should be 90 days or less.
Zotac confirmed doing this. Some comments suggest gigabyte also do the same. I registered my almost 3 years old asus pcie wifi card posted here in croma deal with asus support receiving reply warranty will apply from purchase date so maybe asus will do the same for its graphics card but then there is never a "good deal" on asus cards on flipkart anyway. In fact if you look closely you will find all the good deals on nvidia graphics cards on fk are limited to zotac, inno3d, galax & occasionally gigabyte & I expect all of them to follow similar policy for such old stock.
You can report this to flipkart and they will either refund you or take it up with the company themselves ,flipkart has the leverage here ,that's what they did for the nzxt psu i got for cheap ,just tell them that company is denying warranty and they will take care of the rest ,although it takes weeks for them to resolve it so unless you are getting a great discount stay clear

My & others experience have been different at last as far as zotac cards are concerned. I got the refund successfully but wasn't able to get fk to take the issue with zotac to start warranty from purchase date.
Apparently, zotac told some ppl that they don't allow their direct resellers/distributors to sell more than a year old stock without authorization/confirmation from them first so zotac can always claim fk is not an "authorized seller" but an "unauthorized reseller" for whom they are not obligated to give warranty conditions same as authorized sellers.
