English TV series discussion

Update: Started & ended it.
Moon Knight , it's meh. 4/10 at max.
episode 1 is good but it exponentially degraded with every episode -- i cant make myself go beyond ep03.

Storytelling . doesn't exist, seem like it forcing the character to be deadlpool xerox copy.

Audio is hopeless, everyone want to be nolan. (I'm watching this in disney+)
Dialogues are barely audible , and action scene are shaking glasses of my house.

Okay so I had to drag the cursor and skip to finish the Expanse.. uhh negetive markings like -3 to whatever i rated this earlier.
I think, Expanse was pretty good till season 3. After Amazon acquisition of the title, seasons became a bit bland but TBH the books themselves weren’t the highest point of the series for this section.

Marco Inaros storyline felt stretched out however, it was essential to highlight the genius of Duarte who becomes the main villain for the rest of the story covered in the books 7,8 and 9. These books are the best of the series IMO.

Let’s hope these are adapted soon to the screen.

later episodes really pick up, the first few episodes are meant to be confusing, it all ties together in the last few episodes, besides that, I am a history/mythology nerd so the finale was a treat for me
if its better than sandman im good. :D
you wont really like series like Sandman (I am assuming you are talking about Gaiman's novel adaptation) unless you are really into mythology, there are lots of references in his books that you'll only get if you know them, these were even more apparent in American Gods, where each episode was just *chef's kiss* for me.

anyone seen moon knight? ... review please.

@ibose
It's been a long time I watched that and I am finding it hard to recall what kind of Marvel crap it was. I don't recall rating it as well so I probably couldn't care less. Anyways, among those Marvel TV shows, I found Loki was the best and Hawkeye watchable. Rest, the lesser said the better. Among the new shows, I am only looking forward to Daredevil: Born Again but with zero expectations.

Is it worth watching? I've seen 3 episodes and paused. maybe watch a youtube video of this season?
just read LOTR appendixes or maybe the Silmarillion if you really enjoy it, this is infinitely better than the crap these idiots are shovelling down our throats with Rings of Power. the appendix of Return of the King really made me cry when
When Frodo and Gandalf sailed away off to Valinor, Gimli and Legolas tried to follow them after some time with their own boat, Merry and Pippin retired in Minas Tirith and were buried beside Aragorn.

These ****ers had so much material to work with, that even if they released 20 ****ing seasons, they still wouldnt have nearly exhausted the source material, but no they had to go after the cliched Sauron and Celebrimbor story and even that they ****ed it up

Loki season 1 was decent, s2 was bad..
Hmm.. that was a fab conclusion if there was ever one. Anyways ..
watching now Shrinking (2023) - good family comedy, enjoying a lot.
Yep, Apple definitely has overall and consistently better content .. rest are 2-3 hit wonders .. I am waiting for the Season 2 to end before binge watching it. Finished Season 1 long back. Ford kills it.

yes this one - https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/90802-the-sandman
it started with full of awesomeness.. and later went down the drain.

reading book are altogether different experience man, i don't expect anyone to create similar experience.
for example we have seen Watchmen, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, etc screen adaptation from books... non of them were as good as the book. but still they are so good to watch and re-watch, a good storyline, good presentation, etc.

but modern days movies/TV are just trying to fool people with 3rd grade adaptation, no storytelling, absolutely zero f-ks given to cinematography or presentation, god only know where the budget are going.
there was a norwegian tv series ragnarok, made with 1/10 of the budget. was interesting watch.
binge watching it
watching as they come.. if anything accumulate, i tend to stay awake late night to finish and then spoil my next day :D
