hi im planning to buy Dell Vostro1400/Inspiron1420 .. If i buy one now with the integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics then would i be able to upgrade this laptop with the Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS card later on?? since these laptops are being sold with an option of either one of these graphics...

hey bro, i already know the website . If u go in hp/compaq laptops in the same site, then the product lineup (with complete configs) cannot be seen....thats d problem...when u click on tht, u get the page "this page is not available or has moved"......

thts right.. 2x512mb in dual channel will be faster... but if u need to upgrade to 2gb, then will ur 512mb sticks go waste? how many slots r ther in a laptop? my desktop pc supports 2 pairs of dual channel rams (four slots).... is it possible to do tht in a laptop????

The one tht u hv mentioned (vostro) is dell... but i dont think there's any model from acer having a seperate (discrete, and not integrated) graphics card....

well it says exemption on d duty on Imported laptops.... but which are the laptops tht are imported? are all laptops sold over here imported by manufacturers? or only a few?

anyone have any idea about the 0% tax exemption for Dell laptops ? its given as an option on the website while buying one, and it saves about 2k...does it mean w/o bill or sometn?????

hi guys im trying to check out hp/compaq website for their laptops but the website is " not available or moved " since a long time..:no: im also trying to find out more about the new upcoming hp & compaq models (B1200 and dv2600) but there's no info avlble as yet... any idea when they're gonna...

Hi Switch , Im thinking of going for the Compaq V6608AU. Its great value , and has everything i need. Looks gr8 also. But Except for one thing. Graphics card is low end i.e. onboard. Could u pls tell me what gaming titles uve tried running on it and which ones work ? Have u tried NFS...
