Tried out VLC player . it is quite good but still miss the KMPlayer of windows ! since i just installed ubuntu linux 9.10 is there any package i should install ? i installed wine . . . is there anything else that i shoould put ?

I have downloaded the gstreamer codecs and the movie works in totem i think thats only the inbuilt player right ? And which player is better totem or kmplayer ? And whats new in a KDE based player ?

Did u boot into safe mode and scan for viruses ?

Guys i have a LG JAZZ 42" so was thinking to buy a HD Streamer player like Xtreamer or the WD Player but then i thought if i spending on the player rather i buy the ACER ASpire Revo so i get a desktop also and it can play the HD movies also on my JAZZ 42" so i want your opinions on what to buy ...

Can you elaborate more . . . ? like does it give any error message while restarting or something or like BSOD or what . Try checking your ram once might be lose or something

+1 A perfect soultion and after doing all that just run CCleaner also it will remove all temp data and cache and free up your space and your pc will work as smoothly as before :)

+1 for microsoft security essentials ! it works completely fine but remmember if u want to keep your computer safe jus scan any pen drive or removable media before opening it from my computer or using autoplay if u do this and use MSE nothing can happen to your computer :D

Windows update was the first thing i tired but it doesnt find anything it searches for 5 seconds and says could not update :( Will try vista 32 bit version and let you all know.

The 7 star digital set top box is also supposingly good right ? then why isnt anyone talking about that . The amount of channels that they provide and even the picture quality is very good afaik. But havent seen airtel and big tv but 7 star digital set top box is way better than tata sky !

i went to that site and went to maually download driver but couldnt find windows 7 in it and if vista driver will work then which vista driver to download ...

i had gone to the broadcom site earlier but there were so many drivers with different cards i did not which card was in the compaq b2800 so did not download any . there were like hundreds of them ! So could u please provide the name of the card in the laptop so i can search on the broadcam...

My freind has a Compaq Presario B2800 and qw installed windows 7 in it and now the problem is that we canno find the required WLAN driver to start the wifi so do you all know from where can i download the driver ? :) Thanks . Its windows 7 ultimate 32 bit :)
