Class 4 should be enough for the phone's max read/write usage, i.e. 1080p video recording and playback. However, higher class cards will make a difference while doing file transfers b/w your phone and PC.

Just flashed the new ICS Speedmod kernel. File delete is defenitely faster as the default ICS delete method has been disabled (possible cause of bricks). Let's hope this fixes the bricking issues.

Assuming you are on stock ROM, you can update it through OTA/Kies. No need to download the complete ROM file.

But most probably, it still has the eMMC bug (brick).

Samsung has released the Source Code for ICS, follow the discussion/thread here. Hopefully the devs will come up with a way to solve/avoid the eMMC bug and we'll get back to flashing(thon).
